At the ongoing China Mobile Global Partner Conference in China, Xiaomi CEO Le Jun said that every 20 thousand plus Xiaomi smartphone launched in 2020 will support 5G connectivity. Only last month, the company launched its first 5G smartphone Mi CC9 Pro in China. After which the CEO of the company said that in 2020 Xiaomi will launch about 10 smartphones which will support 5G connectivity.
Currently Xiaomi’s 5G smartphone portfolio includes the Mi Mix 3 5G (introduced at MWC 2019), the Mi 9 Pro 5G (which is available for sale in China only) and the Mi Mix Alpha (prototype).
