Last week, four big companies of the country including Jio and Airtel released their new tariff plans. These plans were already up to 40% expensive. After the arrival of these plans, users also showed their anger on social media through memes. Talking about Vodafone, Idea, and Airtel, in the new tariff, 1000 FUP minutes were being given on a cheap unlimited plan and 12,000 minutes were given on a yearly validity plan. After the FUP minutes are over, the user has to pay an additional fee for talking to other networks. To overcome this resentment of the users, companies have made changes in their plans.

After the price hike, the starting price of the plan with the validity of 28 days has been increased from Rs 149 to Rs 399. While the price of the plan with the validity of 84 days has been increased from Rs 379 to Rs 699.

In the case of benefits, this new Idea plan is similar to Vodafone’s Rs 511 plan. Customers also get 2 GB of data, unlimited voice calling and 100 free SMS per day in Vodafone’s prepaid plan of Rs 511. However, its validity is 84 days. The special thing is that this new Idea plan is valid across the country and through this plan, the telecom company is directly battling Reliance Jio’s plan of Rs 498. In the plan of Jio Rs 498, customers get 2 GB data per day for 91 days.
Advantages of Idea’s Rs 499 plan
In this plan, customers get 2Gb data of 4G / 3G / 2G daily, but after the expiry of valid deadline, the data will be charged 4 paise per 10 KB. Customers will also get unlimited voice calling facility in this plan, but customers will be charged at one penny per second for more than 250 minutes in a day.
Customers who use more than 1 thousand minutes within 7 days, they will have to pay the calling charge per day for one paisa per second during the remaining 7 days. Customers will get 100 free SMS for valid time limit ie 82 days, but after that, charges will be charged for 1 or 1.5 rupees per SMS.
