Google recently removed 22 apps from the Play Store. The legendary search engine removed these apps, while Researcher Sophos noticed that these apps were being used by hackers for ad fraud. This list also includes the Popular App Sparkle Flashlight. It is worth noting that the Play Store has a listing that this app has been downloaded more than 1 million times. Sophos claimed in his report, “If you look at the user’s convenience, these apps spend the phone’s battery faster and communicating with the server in the background and running continuously have to spend more for the data. In addition, the devices are fully controlled by the C2 server and can install this malicious app on the instructions of the server. Learn about the complete list of those 22 apps.
