Photo messaging app Instagram has been working on its new layout feature for some time. On Wednesday, the company’s CEO Adam Mosseri officially released the new feature. Mosseri told users through a tweet that the name of this new feature of Instagram Stories is ‘Layout’. With this help, users will be able to post 6 pictures at a time in their story. Announcing this feature, Moseri also shared pictures of himself in a four grid layout. The company has started rolling out the new layout feature, by next week it will be available to all users.

As can be seen in the tweeted photos of Moseri, the user will also be able to use different types of filters in each of the photos uploaded through the layout feature.
Apart from this, Instagram said in another tweet that the new layout feature will also have the facility to select different types of grids. It consists of two grid image layouts to 6 grid image layouts. According to which, users will be able to upload up to 6 photos in an Instagram story.
In the layout feature, users will also be able to upload photos from their camera roll and gallery. Also, new pictures can be taken for every grid with the Instagram camera. Till now, one had to take the help of a third party app to post many pictures in a story.
