WhatsApp group call limit increased, now 8 people will get support

WhatsApp Messenger is confirmed to double the number of participants allowed in a group call. With this, WhatsApp group calls will now support 8 people, up from four now. The change was first seen in a recent beta version of WhatsApp Messenger on both Android and iPhone, and now Facebook, the parent company of WhatsApp, has officially announced the change and when the group expects the increased call participants’ range If you can go, then time is informed.

In a post on Facebook, social giant CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced an upcoming change to the WhatsApp group call.

“More than 700 million daily activities use WhatsApp and Messenger to make calls. In many countries, calling has doubled since the outbreak of Colling-19, Zuckerberg wrote. “To help you stay connected with your entire family and groups of friends, we can double the number of people participating in a group video call from 4 to 8 on WhatsApp.”

WhatsApp chief Will Cathart revealed in a tweet that the change will begin for users on Android and iPhone next week. Meaning, the next stable version update of WhatsApp will bring enhanced participants limit for group calls on WhatsApp.

In his Facebook post, Zuckerberg also announced several new features from other Facebook products as well as Messenger Rooms being highlighted. Facebook Messenger is getting virtual rooms that will allow users of the chat app to communicate with more than 50 people at the same time. The announcement is being seen as an attempt by Facebook to take on Zoom, which has seen a massive rise over the past several weeks as people around the world follow social guidelines away from home amidst an outbreak of coronovirus Work for.
