MG Motors has launched its second SUV MG ZS EV in the Indian market after the success of Hector. This all-electric car has been launched in Excite and Exclusive variants. Its range is 340 km after full charge. The company claims that it will cost just 1 rupee per kilometer. You will be able to charge this car with a 7.4kW AC charger at home. However, the company has started servicing fast-charging stations in some cities.
Car battery and fast charging time
The car is equipped with 44.5kWh liquid-cooled batteries and electric motors. Which generates power of 143hp and torque of 353Nm. The power generated by the motor goes to the front wheel. It comes with a single speed automatic gearbox. MG’s 50kW DC fast charger can charge its battery from 0 to 80 percent in just 50 minutes. At the same time, it will be fully charged in 6 to 8 hours with a normal 7.4kW AC charger.
