MG Motors has launched the BS6 diesel model of its popular SUV Hector. Its initial price is Rs 13.88 lakhs while the top variant costs Rs 17.73 lakhs. Talking about BA, S6 updation, the price of the car has increased from 40 thousand rupees to 45 thousand rupees. The BS6 Hector super variant costs Rs 14.88 lakh and the smart variant costs Rs 16.33 lakh.
2.0 liter engine will be available like the first
- It will get 2.0 liter FCA sourced engine as before. The same engine is also found in the Jeep Compass and Tata Harrier. However, the compass was the first BS6 upgrade, followed by the BS6 engine in the Harrier last month. Talking about BS6 Hector Diesel, it will get power of 170 PS and torque of 350 Nm. The engine is equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission.
- However, the 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine in Hector is also available, which has already been updated to the BS6. The expected BS6 petrol engine gets 143 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque. The 48 Vault Mild Hybrid system is also available in this version. The petrol engine is 6-speed manual and 6-speed DCT transmission option available.
360 degree surround camera will be found in the top variant
No changes have been made to the features of BS6 Hector. It has ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensor, dual front airbags, hill hold and traction control system that are available in all variants. However, in addition to all these features in the top variant, there will be powered tail gate, 6 airbags, 360 degree surround camera, rain casing wipers, panoramic sunroof and heated out side mirrors.
