Now, both of these two devices, OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro, have started receiving a new update that brings Oxygen Open Beta 6 to users. As you can know from the name of these updates, OxygenOS Open Beta 6 is, first of all, a means Beta ‘build, which means that it will not be stable like the official build of OxygenOS. However, with that being said, OxygenOS Open Beta 6 comes with some new features, improvements and performance improvements. It also includes the facility to turn off Zen mode when necessary. Something that previous versions did not allow users to do.
OnePlus has announced the rollout of this new update on the official OnePlus community platform. There, OnePlus notes that OxygenOS Open Beta 6 has started rolling out for OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 users. The update is being done through the over-the-air (OTA) method for users who are already on the beta program. But, there is also the option of sideloading the ROM for advanced users who want to go for that option. OnePlus has also given the link to the ROM to sideload the Open Beta 6 version only on the OnePlus forum. For the upcoming changes to the new Open Beta 6, OnePlus introduced fingerprint icons and ambient performance improvements. According to the information given by OnePlus, now there is also a notch area display option in the Settings menu for OnePlus 7.
In addition to these improvements that OnePlus has noted, there are some common bug fixes, and the improvements and biggest changes that OnePlus brings to its users as an option to turn off Zen mode. So, earlier, users of OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro did not have this option. In particular, Zen mode on OnePlus devices lets users get out of the noise of their smartphone and helps them disconnect from the world for some peace. Users can set a timer for Zen mode. Previously, in this mode, there was no way to end Zen mode, and users could only resume working on their phones when the timer ran out, but now Zen mode could be interrupted.
The launch of both these phones has been around six months, and they are still some of the best phones in the market to buy in this price range. OnePlus 7 was launched with a starting price of Rs 32,999, while OnePlus 7 Pro was launched with a starting price of Rs 48,999. There are some differences between the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro and seem to be a larger pop-up selfie camera, which allows the OnePlus 7 Pro to have a better screen-to-body ratio.
