Realme will enter the smart TV segment, launching in the second quarter, it will be controlled by the app: Madhav Seth, CEO

Smartphone maker Realme is now going to enter the Smart TV segment. Madhav Seth, CEO of Reality India told in an interview to a Tech YouTuber that in the second quarter of the year, the company will launch not one but many smart TVs in the Indian market. Along with this, he also gave information about the Reality Link app in Seth. This app will reduce the central hub for Realme IoT devices. With the company’s IoT (Internet of Things) device, wearable devices can also be controlled. Apart from this, the company also exposed some features of the upcoming fitness band.

Smartphone will do remote control work

  1. In an interview with Tech YouTuber, Madhav Seth told that in the second quarter of 2020, Reality TV will be launched. In April, we will get all the necessary regulatory approvals. Special features of the TV will be revealed only after launching, but they definitely told that it can be controlled with the company’s new Reality Link app, that is, the phone will work as a remote.
  2. This app will act as a universal control hub for Realme IoT devices, which will enable Realme Smart TV, fitness band and many other realme product controls. The interface of the app will be very similar to Xiaomi’s Mi Home app.
  3. During the interview, Madhav Seth was seen wearing Realme’s upcoming fitness band, which featured a curved glass display. He informed us that the color OLED display will be available in this band as well as it will also be equipped with a heart rate sensor. He also showcased it’s plug and charge design, meaning that the user would have to remove half of its strap and charge it in the charging adapter to charge it. It will have a USB charging port. It is inspired by the Honor Band 5i.
  4. He further explained that the fitness band will be available in three colors. Black and yellow colors will be available in it, although information about the third color option has not been given. Apart from this, Seth told that the company is also working on smart speakers, although he has not made any announcement about when it will be launched officially.
