From today, it has become mandatory to give IUC charge to customers using Jio SIM. Jio customers will now have to pay 6 paise per minute to call another company’s network. For this, the customer will need to top-up the Interconnect Usage Charge (IUC). If they do not top-up the IUC, then calls to other networks will not take place. However, right now it is necessary to make this top-up only to the customers whose validity of the Jio plan is over.
If you are a Jio subscriber and are going to top-up the IUC, then first check the validity of your existing Jio plan. Actually, IUC charge will have to be paid to those customers who recharge after today (October 10). Which means the validity of the plan is over on October 10. If the customer has validity of the existing plan then he will not have to take the IUC top-up. It is mandatory to take IUC top-up only on new recharge.
To find out how much the validity of your existing Jio plan is, you will need to install the MyJio app. Here you can also see the validity of other Jio numbers. Now suppose that you have done an all-time recharge of Jio on October 9, whose validity is 84 days. Then you will not have to pay the IUC charge till December 31, 2019 this whole year.
