Sony gave the biggest surprise at the ongoing Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Tech company Sony introduced its electric concept car Vision-S at the show. With this, the company made its entry into the automotive industry. The company has partnered with companies such as Bose, Continental, Nvidia and Qualcomm to build it.
Sony Vision-S is equipped with a total of 33 sensors such as high-resolution, CMOS imaging sensors and radar. It also includes Time of Flight (ToF) sensors that identify things inside and outside the car, in addition to those sitting in the car. Along with this, the car also has features such as 360-degree reality audio and widescreen display. The company is also working in segments like telecommunications, including artificial technology, quad technology.
In terms of looks, this car, which looks like the Tesla Model 3, has a seating capacity of four. It has two 200 kW electric motors which give the power of every axle. Its strength can be gauged from the fact that it takes only 4.8 seconds to reach the speed of 100 kmph. The top speed of the car is 240 km per hour.
