Asus has unveiled its latest gaming laptops, the Strix Scar 16 and Strix Scar 18, in India. These models made their debut at CES 2023 and boast Intel’s 13th Gen CPUs and Nvidia’s 40-series GPUs. Additionally, the brand has also brought the updated Zephyrus M16, Strix Scar 17, and Zephyrus Duo 16 laptops with AMD’s powerhouse Ryzen 7000 series CPUs. The Strix Scar 16 and Strix Scar 18 boast a modern look and come with per-key RGB illumination.
The Asus ROG Strix Scar 16 has a starting price of Rs. 2,79,990, while the Asus ROG Strix Scar 18 is priced at Rs. 2,79,990. The Asus ROG Strix Scar 17 comes with a starting cost of Rs. 2,69,990. The new Asus ROG Zephyrus M16 has a beginning rate of Rs. 2,99,990 and the Asus ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 begins at Rs. 4,29,990. All of these machines can be bought from major online and offline stores.
The ROG Strix Scar 16 and 18 laptops by Asus have been given a modern makeover, featuring a sleek cut across the lid that is mirrored across the keyboard. The Armour Caps are now more compact and held in place with magnets, and even have the option to be 3D printed for a truly customised look. Both models boast Aura Sync accents and RGB lit ROG logo on the top lid and keyboard. Under the hood, the laptops are powered by Intel’s 13th Gen CPUs and Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 4000 series GPUs with MUX Switch, with a maximum QHD resolution display with a 240Hz refresh rate and Adaptive Sync.
The Asus ROG Strix Scar 17 boasts a similar aesthetic to the preceding Scar 16 and 18 models, but with a few modern upgrades. Consumers can opt for the powerful AMD Ryzen 9 7945HX processor and Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 graphics card, as well as pre-key RGB lighting, a metallic ROG logo, and Aura Sync accents.
Asus has also upgraded the ROG Zephyrus M16, now featuring a 16-inch display with a 92% screen-to-body ratio and slender bezels. The 16:10 aspect ratio display is equipped with QHD resolution and a 240Hz refresh rate, as well as a 3ms response time. The display is reported to have a 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut and is Pantone validated, while supporting Dolby Vision HDR with up to 1,100 nits of peak brightness. This model can be configured with up to an Intel Core i9-13900H processor and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 GPU.
Finally, the Asus ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 is equipped with a 16-inch display crammed into a 15-inch body. It is powered by AMD’s Ryzen 7000 series Dragon Range of processors based on the latest Zen 4 architecture. This laptop packs a massive 90WHr battery and can be recharged with either the 330W adapter or a 100W PD charge enabled USB Type-C port. According to Asus, the battery can reach 50 percent charge in only half an hour.
