After a series of teasers, iQOO has officially confirmed the launch of its Z9s series in India, set for August 21st. The announcement was made by Nipun Marya, CEO of iQOO India, who emphasized that the phone would be the fastest in its segment, boasting a curved screen design.
The teaser includes a note stating that the phone achieves an AnTuTu score of 8.2 lakhs, making it the highest-performing phone under Rs. 25,000 at launch. This impressive score is expected to be part of the launch offers, enhancing the phone’s value proposition. According to industry reports, this high-performance device is likely the iQOO Z9s Pro, rumored to be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC.
This pricing strategy positions the Z9s Pro as a more affordable alternative to the Motorola Edge 50 Pro, which uses the same chip but is priced above Rs. 30,000.
The design of the Z9s series, previously showcased by iQOO, resembles the iQOO 12, adding a touch of sophistication to its aesthetics. Rumors suggest that both the Z9s and Z9s Pro models will feature a 6.78-inch 120Hz curved AMOLED screen, a 50MP rear camera with a Sony sensor, a 16MP front camera, and a robust 5,500 mAh battery.

The iQOO Z9s is reported to come with the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC, which is a slight downgrade from the Dimensity 7200 SoC found in the Z9, potentially leading to a lower price point than the Z9’s Rs. 19,999 starting price. Additionally, the phones are expected to offer configurations of up to 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage.
As the launch date approaches, more details about the iQOO Z9s series are anticipated to be revealed, providing a comprehensive look at these highly awaited smartphones.
