The launch date for the Redmi Note 12 Turbo has been officially confirmed. On March 28, Xiaomi will introduce its new Redmi Note 12 5G series phone in China. Performance-wise, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo is expected to be more powerful than the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus 5G. Xiaomi has revealed some key specs of the upcoming handset, including that it will feature the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC. This SoC is based on a 4nm process and has a peak clock speed of 2.91GHz, with an Adreno 725 GPU offering 50 percent better performance than its predecessor.
Design-wise, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo looks similar to the Redmi Note 12 Pro and Pro Plus 5G phones, with a flat frame design and three circular camera ring on the back. It will have a 64-megapixel main camera sensor and is expected to have ultra-wide and macro lenses as well as an LED flash module. The bottom edge houses the primary speaker, USB Type-C port, and SIM tray, while the top edge features a 3.5mm headphone jack, IR blaster, and secondary microphone. The power and volume buttons are located on the right edge.
Further details of the handset are yet to be confirmed by Xiaomi, but reports suggest it will have a 6.67-inch full-HD+ OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate support, up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, and a 5,500mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. It is also rumored to launch globally as the Poco X5 GT, although there has been no official announcement from Xiaomi yet regarding any global launch plans for the Redmi Note 12 Turbo.
