South Korea’s company Samsung has created the world’s first 1TB chip for the smartphone. Now mobile-making companies around the world will be able to provide 1TB of internal storage via a single flash memory chip in their device.
The size of this 1TB chip will be 11.5mm x 13.0mm as before, but its efficiency will be twice as old as 512GB chip. Through 1TB eUFS (embedded universal flash storage), users will be able to store up to 260 videos of 10 minutes in 4K UHD format in their smartphone. At present, users can store only 13 videos of this size in smartphones with 64GB of internal storage.
The company says that by increasing the storage through this new chip users will have a similar experience as a notebook. Users with 1TB chip will be able to transfer large size multimedia content in a short period of time.
According to reports, Samsung is about to launch the Galaxy 10 smartphone in the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on February 20, which is being said to offer 1TB internal storage with 12GB RAM. If this happens then it will be the world’s first smartphone with 1TB internal storage.
