Samsung Galaxy S23 series Specification

The design of the Samsung Galaxy S23 series is expected to be similar to the Galaxy S22 series, with the vanilla Galaxy S23 featuring a revamped camera module, featuring separate holes for the three cameras at the back, similar to the Galaxy S22 Ultra. The Galaxy S23 Ultra is rumored to have a quad-curved display, an upgrade from the dual-curved display used in the Galaxy S22 Ultra. The devices will come in three color options, black, beige, green, and light pink, and the beige option will replace the white option seen in earlier versions. The Galaxy S23 series is expected to feature the same displays as its predecessor, with the Galaxy S23 having a 6.1-inch Full HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, the Galaxy S23+ is expected to feature a larger 6.6-inch Full HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and the top-end Galaxy S23 Ultra is expected to sport a slightly larger 6.8-inch Quad HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The devices are also likely to have better display protection as they will be protected by the Gorilla Glass Victus 2 which was launched in December 2022.

Processor

The Samsung Galaxy S23 series is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, which is a change from the previous launch pattern of using Snapdragon-Exynos based on regions. The Galaxy S23 series is also expected to come with 256GB storage as standard, which is a positive step considering the growing storage needs of users. The Galaxy S23 series is also likely to offer a 36% increase in processor speed, a 48% improvement in graphics performance, and a 60% improvement in neural processing compared to its predecessor.

Camera

Cameras are one of the main highlights of the Galaxy S23 series, particularly the Galaxy S23 Ultra which is expected to have a camera setup that can capture night photography like “night vision.” The Galaxy S23 and S23+ are expected to feature a 50MP primary camera, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 10MP telephoto sensor. The S23 Ultra is likely to come with a quad-camera setup that includes a 200MP primary camera with the ISOCELL HP2 sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 10MP telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom, and a 10MP periscope camera with 10x optical zoom, and will reportedly enable users to capture 8K 30FPS videos.
