Samsung’s First Generation Folding Phone is in dispute over its strength, but its impact is not affecting other companies. According to Tech Journalist Max J’s tweet, Japan’s veteran tech company Sony is developing a folding-screen device to give competition to its compatriot Samsung and Huawei. He said that there may be a rollable screen in comparison to the simple folding screen.
According to the tweet, the prototype models of Sony’s folding smartphone will get LD display, SM7250 processor and 3220 mAh battery and 10x camera zoom. However in its final model the Qualcomm X50 modem will be available for the 5G connectivity with the Snapdragon 855 processor. It is expected that it can be launched in the market by December 2020.
Sony has just started making rollable display smartphones a while ago, but this is not the first company doing this. Samsung had prepared the rolling screen in 2016, which has not yet been launched in the market.
