The Vivo V40 series is set to launch in India soon, according to recent reports. This series is expected to succeed the V30 series, which was introduced in March this year. The upcoming lineup is speculated to include two models: the V40 and V40 Pro, with the former already released in the European market last month. Notably, the Vivo V40 Pro was recently spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website, indicating its imminent debut in India.
According to a report from 91Mobiles, the Vivo V40 series is anticipated to feature a 5,500mAh battery and may launch in India in August. It is touted to be the “slimmest phone” in its segment. Both models are said to come with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. Additionally, the upcoming handsets may sport a 3D curved display and an Infinity Eye Camera module. The cameras are expected to feature Zeiss Optics, supporting multifocal portraits.
The report also mentions that both handsets might incorporate a cushioning structure for enhanced durability. The Vivo V40 is likely to have the same specifications as its European counterpart.
