Vivo is all set to launch its first foldable smartphone in the coming weeks and it looks like the X Flip is going to be one device that you won’t want to miss out on. The X Flip is said to have a vertical folding display, Zeiss-branded rear cameras, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, a 6.8-inch OLED display with a 120Hz maximum screen refresh rate and a full-HD+ resolution, a 50-megapixel Sony IMX866 primary camera and a 12-megapixel Sony IMX663 ultra-wide camera, 12GB RAM and 128GB storage, and a 4,400mAh battery with 44W wired charging.
The Vivo X Flip is expected to be a more affordable option compared to the company’s recently announced Vivo X Fold+, which is priced from CNY 10,000. It will also provide some added competition for Samsung, which has been the only brand to launch its Z Flip and Z Fold foldables in India year after year. Oppo’s Find N2 Flip is the only other foldable device available in the country, recently going on sale at Rs. 89,999.
The Geekbench scores of the Vivo X Flip have reportedly shown up online and it is said to have managed a Geekbench (version 6) score of 1,695 and 4,338 in its single and multi-core tests respectively. With an impressive set of features and an affordable price tag, the X Flip is sure to make waves in the foldable smartphone market. We’ll have to wait for the official launch to find out more about the device and its pricing.
