Ultra-thin-glass (UTG) display panel can be found in South Korean company Samsung’s next foldable phone ‘Galaxy Fold 2’. It will be stronger and durable than before. Through this, the problems and shortcomings encountered in the first foldable phone ‘Galaxy Fold’ will be reduced. The UGT screen found in the Galaxy Fold 2 will be thin from 100 microns to 30 microns.
Let’s-Go-Digital reported in its report that the company had filed three trademark applications at the European Union Intellectual Property Office on 9 December. It can be named Samsung Ultra Thin Glass, Samsung UTG and UTG.
The report said that Samsung may launch its second foldable phone at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) to be held in Barcelona in late February. Its price can be up to one thousand dollars i.e. about 70 thousand rupees. It will be launched as a cheap version of Galaxy Fold. It can get 256 GB of storage.
