Google is set to launch the Pixel 9 Pro in India on October 17, 2024, after previously introducing the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro XL in August. Priced at ₹1,09,999, it comes in four colors: Porcelain, Rose Quartz, Haze, and Obsidian, and will be available in a 16GB + 256GB configuration.
The Pixel 9 Pro shares many features with the Pixel 9 Pro XL, but with a smaller 6.3-inch display and a slightly reduced battery size of 4700mAh. Despite the smaller form factor, it boasts the same high-end internals, including the Google Tensor G4 processor and an advanced camera setup.
The 6.3-inch LTPO AMOLED display delivers a resolution of 1280 x 2856 pixels with a 1-120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 3000 nits, making it perfect for both indoor and outdoor viewing. It comes with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for added durability. Powered by the Google Tensor G4 chip and Titan M2 security chip, the Pixel 9 Pro promises top-tier performance and advanced security. It also comes pre-installed with Android 14, and Google guarantees 7 years of OS, security, and feature updates.
The Pixel 9 Pro excels in photography, featuring a 50MP rear camera with a Samsung GNK sensor and OIS, capable of capturing detailed and vibrant photos. It also includes a 48MP ultra-wide camera and a 48MP 5x telephoto lens with 30x digital zoom. The front-facing 42MP camera with autofocus ensures crisp selfies and video calls, with both the front and rear cameras capable of 4K 60fps video recording.
The Pixel 9 Pro is equipped with a 4700mAh battery, offering 27W wired fast charging and 21W wireless charging. This provides ample power for a full day of use, along with efficient charging solutions.
With its premium specs and Google’s robust software support, the Pixel 9 Pro is positioned to be a strong competitor in the Indian smartphone market.
