Unveiling the Future: Moto G 5G (2024) – Leaks and Design Insights

Anticipation Grows for the Moto G 5G (2024) Successor

Rumors are swirling in the tech sphere as leaks hint at the impending launch of the Moto G 5G (2024), poised to follow in the footsteps of its predecessor, the Moto G 5G (2023), which made its debut in May this year. While the company is yet to confirm the existence of this new model, recent leaks have provided a sneak peek into the design and key specifications of the anticipated handset.

Design Revelations from Leaked Renders and Video

A MySmartPrice report, citing tipster Steve H. McFly (@OnLeaks), has surfaced, sharing images and a 360-degree video showcasing the purported design of the Moto G 5G (2024). The handset appears to maintain a design lineage with flat sides and slightly curved edges, reminiscent of its predecessor. The front reveals a flat display with slim bezels and a slightly thicker chin, contributing to an overall sleek aesthetic.

Display and Form Factor Consistency

According to the leaked information, the Moto G 5G (2024) is expected to feature a 6.5-inch screen, aligning with the display size of its predecessor, the Moto G 5G (2023). The report suggests that the new model will share several display specifications with the older variant, including a 6.5-inch HD+ (720 x 1,600 pixels) LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a pixel density of 269ppi. This promises a vibrant and smooth visual experience for users.

Back Panel Evolution and Camera Module Insights

The leaked images shed light on the back panel design of the Moto G 5G (2024), showcasing a rectangular camera module, reminiscent of the camera island seen on the Moto G 5G (2023). Notably, the newer model features more rounded corners, offering a subtle design evolution. The camera module, positioned on the top left corner, houses two vertically placed circular camera units and an oblong LED flash unit. The front camera sensor finds its place within a centred hole-punch cutout at the top of the display.

Size and Edge Configuration

Providing additional insights, the report indicates that the Moto G 5G (2024) is expected to measure 164.4mm x 74.9mm x 8.2mm, showcasing a slightly altered size compared to its predecessor. The leaked images also reveal the placement of the volume rocker and power button on the right edge, the SIM tray on the left edge, and a singular mic on the top. The bottom edge houses a 3.5mm audio jack, a microphone, USB Type-C port, and a speaker grille.

As the leaks continue to fuel excitement, tech enthusiasts eagerly await official confirmation and further details regarding the Moto G 5G (2024). Stay tuned for updates on this promising addition to the Moto G series.
