Vodafone Idea has provided free 2GB high-speed data, unlimited voice calls to select users.

Vodafone Idea is offering 2GB daily high-speed data and unlimited voice calling benefits for users to choose from at no extra cost. The new offer is available with a validity of seven days. However, the eligibility criteria for benefits are not clear. Vodafone Idea introduced the new offer just days after bringing a double data offer for Rs. 299, Rs. 449, and Rs. 699 Prepaid Recharge Plan. It is also among operators that have extended incoming call benefits during coronavirus-focused lockdowns that remain in force until 3 May.

Users on Twitter have reported the arrival of an additional 2GB of high-speed data and unlimited voice calling benefits. These occur on a daily basis for seven days.

Vodafone Idea is not charging customers for new data allocation and voice calling benefits, and bundled data allocation is available over and above the existing data quota.

Additional high-speed data and voice calling benefits are not provided to all Vodafone Idea users. However, it seems that this offer is slowly coming to select users.

How to check eligibility

You can check eligibility for additional data and voice calling benefits on your Vodafone or Idea connection by dialing 121363. If you are eligible, you will receive an SMS message confirming the update. Otherwise, you will hear a voice message saying that you are not eligible for the offer.

The SMS message confirming the new offer states that it has been provided as a “special gift” to users to remove the lockdown blues.

Additional 2GB high-speed daily data and unlimited calls are offered in various circles including Chennai, Kolkata, New Delhi, Punjab, and Uttar Pradesh, report technology, and telecom blog PriceBaba . However, this offer is provided for select users only, which means that it will not be available to all users in eligible circles.
