Fastag will save time and fuel, it will also provide 2.5% cashback on payment

From December 1, drivers will not have to stop at the toll plaza to pay toll tax. From this day onwards, the facility of fastag is going to be implemented on all national highways across the country. Now toll payment will be collected through this technology. The system works on Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology. In this, drivers will be able to make non-stop payments at the toll plaza. This will not only provide relief to the people traveling on the highway, but also do not have to take long queues to make tax payments. This will also reduce time and fuel consumption.

Fastag was implemented as a pilot project across the country in 2014. In the same year, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways also made a separate electronic toll collection lane at all toll plazas across the country, so that vehicles equipped with Fastag cards could pay. To implement it fully, the government has partnered with about 23 banks to make it easily accessible to the people.
