RIG 800HD Wireless Gaming Headset for Windows (Renewed)

decent wireless headset, light weight, certified refurbished. I purchased this item from Kanga supply. The headset quality is very nice. there are few points i need to mention.1. it come with certified refurbished warranty card from windsor. not sure if other sellers than kanga supply has a certification for the refurbished headset.2. this headset RIG 800HD is specifically for PC. when you connect to pc, you will need to use the usb wirless signal caster connect to your pc then hold button for 3s on the singal caster to start pairing with headset, then push the power button on headset upward and hold for 10s to pair with signal caster. After successfully pair up, the light on the signal caster will turn purple. Red means your headset is not pair with the signal caster (this step is not clear in the plantronic set up manual.)3. it has a dobly atoms activation code inside the box. You can use dolby atmos, windows sonic and DTS:Xultra on pc. Dolby atmos and DTS both sounds really great.overall the headset is very light and comfortable. it has decent sound quality too.
WORKS GOOD FOR PC. NOT XBOX, PS, OR ANY OTHER CONSOLE. It does not work for Xbox or PS. The headphones are great, Sound quality is amazing. REALLY GOOD FOR R6. But you have to be on a PC. My brother has the the 700 and when It wouldn't connect to my xbox we tried switching adapters. And low and behold, it worked. *A 700 adapter will work with a 800 headset for consoles.* Other than that it works fantastically. Great auto, great sound compression, great headset. Just doesn't work with consoles.
Not impressed. Now that I have them, I'm not impressed. Research failed me here. There is a reason Plantronics sold these off to Nacon.First, like many others, NO CODE included, as advertised. Huge let down there. For the price, sound quality isn't bad, but it's nothing special. Atmos works, but not nearly as well as even a cell phones speakers with atmos (s20, and razer phone 2). For things without atmos, good bluetooth aptx earbuds are better on the wireless side (klipsch), or wired you'll find tin hifi with a decent DAC WAY better... let down again there. For a "gaming headset", the style and comfort are top notch, but the sound bleed is HUGE - so don't expect chat privacy.Build materials do NOT justify full price - you're paying for a name/look with these. If you can get them around $50, go for it - around $150 get something else. Albeit, Dolby Atmos headset options are limited.
this is a perfect headset. head set is good only problem is that i only got the headset and attachment. not the orginall box which is a shame.
Worth it! Read Mine✓. I bought my first one new for a couple hundred and my dog sat on it and broke it after a few months. I was very sad I had to go to my cheap turtle beaches while I saved up for another set but I love these headsets. I bought this one refurbished. They've worked since. They did come with one flaw, which was game/chat mixer wired incorrectly. It was essentially a volume slider as well. That flaw hasn't slowed me down though as I typically set my game volume through the games setting screen since all games are different. I highly recommend this headset though. I can wear it all day and not feel a thing. My friends say the microphone sounds great. The sound quality is amazing. Get it on sale or refurbished though for sure just in case your dog/kid/gf decides to be wreckless.
Great headset WITH DOLBY ATMOS CODE. The headset is very comfortable could easily wear for an entire day. Battery life is great. Sound is great, I do wish the bass had a bit more punch but this may be fixed with some messing around in EQ settings. My purchase DID COME WITH AN ATMOS CODE. This headset isn't officially supported for Xbox compatibility, but the USB receiver has an input for optical audio. I haven't done this, but getting an optical audio cable and connecting to your Xbox may work (I don't see why it wouldn't). Overall great value for money HIGHLY recommend.
Almost 3 years and going strong. Best headset ever. Comfortable and a light fit, doesn't block out any outside sound but the sound is clear. Best headset I've ever had. Pins holding cups are a bit loose after 3 years, but, it's wear and tear. I'll be buying a new one soon.,
Works well, however. This is a great headset for gaming, new or used. The overall quality of the product is good quality. Now the only caveat I have is after lifting the boom mic up and pulling it down, the connector inside the pivot point ends up breaking. The sound quality from the headset is awesome. Absolutely love the Dolby Atmos sound that they produce! But the Mic! I have gone through two of these headsets for the SAME exact problem. When voice chatting you will eventually start cutting out and then it will just stop working. But even though I love the sound quality and the wearability and comfort of these all day long without your head hurting or ears hurting makes me sad that Poly could never figure out the mic usage failure. The battery life on these is awesome. I ended up only needing to charge these once a week with heavy use.
Like 'em a lot. Good quality for the price, feel and sound great.
This headset is perfect in every way except one. It's light, durable, comfortable, stylish. The mic is not flimsy and flips up easily to mute. The sound quality is amazing. It's simple to setup and easy to use. It's better than anything on the market and yet IT IS COMPLETELY UNUSABLE.The microphone passes through to the speakers meaning when the microphone is down YOU WILL HAVE WHITE NOISE flooding into your ears. There is no way to mute this. Not in software, not in hardware. Not with a firmware update, not in any Windows settings (yes I disabled "Listen to this Device"). Yes I tried the EQ button. Yes I tried volume levels.THIS IS WORKING AS DESIGNED. And the design makes it completely unusable. You can't leave the mic down during a game without white noise and hearing every button click and sound in the room amplified into your head.DID NOBODY TRY TO USE THIS?!?! I have the Rig HD500 and I love it. It does not suffer from this insane "feature". I can't imagine what kind of insane industrial designer thought it was a good idea to amplify noise IN A GAMING HEADSET. I was told to simply flick the mic up to mute it when I'm not talking. Have you never played a game before?!?!? What the hell kind of madness is this? This is worse than crap. Crap I can deal with. But taking the best headset on the market and DELIBERATELY neutering it like this is infuriating.

Over-all, the fit and finish of this product, is pure quality. Dolby Atmos is truly impressive. The fist thing I noticed about this Gaming Headset was that it was feather light, but neither looked nor felt cheap. The headband is molded out of strong, flexible and light plastic, with an high-tech design. The ear cups are adjustable to three heights. For the price, the speakers sound pristine on the highs and rock bottom on the low frequencies. The ear-pads are made out of cloth covered, soft and airy foam. They let a fair degree of sound in, which I like, so I can hear my roommate talking or the phone ringing while playing, and I like this. The head-strap fits snugly, giving these headsets a solid feel. The mic-boom is removable. I would have liked a mic that tucked away instead; only because I feel I might lose track of the mic. Over-all, the fit and finish of this product, is pure quality. My only other negative comment I have is that oval ear-cups would have fit my big ears better.I purchased the Plantronics RIG 400 because I did need a new Gaming Headset, but mostly for the included Dolby Atmos access code, which came bundled with it. I immediately fell in love with Dolby Atmos, when I sampled Dolby Access for the Xbox One. The layers of sound was truly impressive and I just had to subscribe to the service.
Good inexpensive headset. Sounds great and the flexible headband is awesome...you can just break these things down if you want to stuff them in a bag and you dont have to worry about snapping your headset from rolling over on it or something. My only real complaint is the cable could be longer and detachable like the mic, but in an entry level market completely flooded with cheap rebadged crap, this one floats to the top for sure.
So comfortable it hurts. Probably the best headset I used on my Xbox. Sounds better than the Beaches I used to have.
Best headphones for gaming. Iv tried over I’d say 10 different gaming headsets in my life from afterglow, turtle beaches, Corsair and even steel series. These are the best choice for me. This is my second pair the first I bought in 2018. These don’t have surround sound which I think is is the best for me. I can pin point people just by footsteps I can tell you what legends those foot steps are on apex legends because the sound is so spot on. I haven’t found a better pair yet till then I’m buying these I might just pick up 2-3 more so I can game for ten years.
not a lot of volume. I got these to try out the Atmos license. Pros: they're very comfortable. Cons: the volume is weak, the cable is short, and the difference in quality from the Dolby license isn't really noticeable; I could hear an enemy NPC sneaking up on me about as well with these as I could with my last pair. As for the sound itself, I'm an audiophile, I've worked in recording studios, and if there's any difference in the sound quality itself, I can't hear it. If anything, these are slightly worse because the total volume is too low. I can't return these now that I've activated the Atmos license, but I'm thinking of donating them and buying a different pair.
Game changing headset. I needed a new headset and a friend swore by this one.Playing Fortnite with him I always assumed he just knew where chests were. With this headset the 3D helps me pinpoint the location of anything making noise. Footsteps, chests, gunfire. It's a comfortable fit. The only issue I had was a user issue. I didn't have the mic pushed in all the way when I first got this. Once it was put together properly I sounded clear and could hear clearly. You're at an unfair disadvantage if you're only using stereo headset. 5 stars.
Great with no sound isolation. Really good as long as you don't mind hearing what happens around you and have anyone in the room hearing what you are listening to.
Buen sonido y micro. Todo bien, buena calidad.

Great sound great seller mediocre mic. Awesome headphones with amazing surround xound. Product was sold in like new condition but seemed as if it was completelynew. so happy with this seller and product, but if there is one small issue it's the mic, which is not nearly as quality as the t st of the headset, but since it can be removed and replaced with a better mic, this is barely an issue.
Love the headset. Love the headset! $100 is a bit pricey, however if you are like me and have an old style Xbox one controller, that does not have an audio jack, then this is a good fit for you. This Headset comes with an audio interface module that connects to the controller.m and gives you that needed audio jack. Overall the sound quality is great and the audio interface module come packed with a bunch of cool features. READ THE MANUAL on the Plantrinics website.
Cheap but they work. For the money they are great. But they feel very cheap and light. The head band adjustability is very odd. The headphone cups have a little bit of plastic that sticks out and you have 3 slots to fit them into on the band itself. The volume control that plugs into the controller is also cheap and trying to find that perfect volume can be hard. Also prone to getting bumped and easily changing volume. So you'll either go deaf or blow your ear drums if you bump it as there is very little resistance. The sound quality it decent. A lot of tuning options in the atmos app on Pc or Xbox. One thing to note is it will block out the quick volume adjustments from the Xbox home menu. So it's all down to the physical volume sliders on the controller mount. Whether you actually need that little box to get the atmos effect is debatable. As there isn't much difference in my experience.Works well for me and if you're looking for a headset that doesn't brake the bank these are decent. And definitely worth a look if you want a headset and are wanting to upgrade from the standard Xbox headset that's included in many consoles. But they are cheap so don't be rage quitting and throw these across the room as I doubt they'd handle it at all.
Amazing headset. I love this headset! The sound quality is awesome and very comfortable well worth the money you pay for it
Overall this is a pretty good quality headset. The sound is pretty good. My friends say I sound a lot more realistic with this mic than I did with my after glow ag9 headset. I got to say the preamp adapter for the headset is quite obtrusive and the wire for the headset isn’t very tough/durable though. The do get really loud but you’ll always be able to hear those sneaky footsteps though. A big con that I’m starting to get over though is the absence of mic monitoring when using the preamp adapter though. Please be careful with the wire though.
Love them, best bang for the buck. Love these. bought them for gaming. Ended up using it for work as well. The quality is superior and the Dolby subscription is legit. A ++
Great But. the only problem I have with them is the sound block. If I plug it into any of my controllers it won't work. But it works fine plugging the headset directly into the jack.
Failed after 3 months. The right speaker failed after 3 months of daily use. Prior to the right speaker failing to work, the sound was amazing and it was very comfortable to wear.
Me sirvió para pasar a una mejor diadema al final de me rompió con el uso , todo se escucha Perfecto con el Microfono te escuchan bien , tiene buena cancelación de ruido pero recomiendo ver otras opciones
Fantastic quality sound is great and have no problem with connection , really good mic no robotic sound.
Excelente producto buena calidad y excelente sonido

RIG 800HD Wireless Gaming Headset for PS4, PS5 and Windows 10 PCs

It does the job. I dont do streaming but I do play video games with friends online. The wired headset I had for 4 years finally was shorting out. Broke my heart cause I really loved it since it was simple. No crazy bells, whistles, or lights. Just great quality all round but...not wireless. So boyfriend suggested getting the Sennheiser GSP 370 and another friend suggested the RIG 800HD Dolby Atmos. I decided id buy both and if I didnt like the one the boyfriend suggested, id give it to him. If i liked both then one would be back up. Sadly the Sennheiser just didnt fit comfortably for me. No matter what I did to adjust or try, my head just did not agree with it. For me its comfort over quality first. So I gave that headset to the boyfriend. The Rig fit me perfectly. I didnt have to do any adjusting, it sat right and felt great. I also wear glasses and my friend has mentioned that the way the headsets sit it doesnt irritate or cause part of the glasses to get pitched up against the headset causing rubbing and irritation. Which is a big plus for me. Sound quality it good to me. Maybe not as outstanding as the wired headset I had which was eargasmic when i would listen to music on it, but its not far off. Prior to my wired headset I had tried Logitech and Corsair. They seemed to fail my fastest but this one is still doing fine for me. Its working just fine, battery lasting and all around great. I wouldnt mind buying again if it ever came to it and my friends hear me clearly. I also have twins who fight a lot and when i play with my friends they rarely notice them so the noise cancelation does a decent job.
Reasonable priced headset, 1 things to check for now. I just got the product today and it's sound and quality seems reasonable compare to other $100 wireless headsets maybe better, haven't tried other headsets much (G533). But it's definitely better than a $30 wired one. Light weighted, comfortable for big head, Dolby Atmos sound... I'm very satisfied with it for now.But there are 1 things people need to know when they get the product. Some people will find out that the microphone makes you hear yourself. This is called sidetone and it can't be solved through pc for this headset. So you will have to press the button which is under the right side of the headset for 3 seconds and soon you will hear 3 beep sound. Then press it again for 3 seconds and you will hear 1 beep sound. Now the headset won't have the sidetone.Other than that, I didn't find any problem using it and I will have to check things out by using this as my main headset. I hope I could use this headset for long time.
A+ SQ / A+ Battery / A+ Reliability. I use it for work & talk 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week for a year & half - still works great & sounds great. When I work overtime, I'm on calls for up to 16 hours a day & the battery lasts.I listen to music while on calls, Windows10 reduces my Pandora & goes back to normal between calls. Light weight, cool around the ears & head. Only con is the inability for Windows 10 to control mic input. There are 4 EQ settings & the 2nd setting works best for my taste - bass & treble is just right for instrumentals. Hold down the EQ button for voice feedback so you can hear yourself. Noise isolation is descent & no need for Active Noise Cancellation, which saves on battery life. It's best to have a headset stand but you can lean it on its side & it'll stay up.It works well with our Telecom software, Zoom, voice recording for presentations & of course music. I normally listen to music with an amplified open-back headphones & the sound quality in the Rig 800HD impresses me. Lastly, it also matches my watch - which is a bonus.
great headset so far! really comfortable, good sound quality. So here's the deal. My old headset was the wired Plantronics Rig with the Mixer and I used it for about 4 years. I really loved it. The fact that it lasted so long and had great quality/function turned me into a fan of the Plantronics brand. A few weeks ago though, the earpiece broke off, so this was my time to finally upgrade my headset. My brother suggested the SteelSeries Arctis 7 which I bought from Amazon and tried it out for a few weeks. Out of the box, the sound quality was incredibly disappointing in comparison with my old Plantronics Rig. There were some pretty awesome features on the Arctis including the fact that it was my first ever experience with a wireless headset, but it was incredibly uncomfortable. I ended up returning it and then I realized I should just look for another Plantronics headset since I trusted the brand. This headset was a newer version of my old Rig, it was also wireless (and now that I've gone wireless I don't think I can go back to wired ever again), and it also seemed like it was going to be comfortable with its memory foam ear cushions. I was slightly wary of buying something that I saw very few or no reviews on, but I wanted to give it a shot anyway. Today I got the headset in the mail, upon trying it on the first time, I was so happy I got it! It's incredibly comfortable, which was a really important factor for me. The sound quality is also great out of the box. The muting method is super convenient, the range is great, the charging is easy. I'm really happy that I returned the Arctis and that I was able to find a great headset that I think is worth the price. The only thing I'm slightly concerned about is the design of the way the earpieces attach to the headband. It snaps in place, and I worry that this could potentially break easily with wear. For that reason alone, I'm giving 4 stars.7/18/2019 UPDATE:I've had these for 2 years now and still love them in general, however, I just started having issues with the mic. :'''( Whenever I move the mic up or down to mute and unmute, it gives off a crackling sound, audible to myself as well as my friends on discord. At times the crackling sound becomes static and lingering, other times it spikes unpredictably, even without moving the mic, but mostly only when I move it. I've been using it for hours and hours pretty much everyday for the last 2 years. I've travelled with it, moved apartments, and I admit I haven't been all that gentle with handling it on a daily basis, so I can definitely see how the electronic cables in the mic could be getting worn at the hinge from so much up and down, brash movement. My advice to current or future owners is to try not to overuse the mic if you want it to last longer. Everything else about the headset is still in perfect condition, but I do have to say I'm a little bummed that it only lasted 2 years considering my old Rig lasted 4. No regrets purchasing though, because it is still the best I've personally experienced so far based on fit, comfort, function, and quality. I really hope Plantronics comes out with some new gaming headsets similar to this, but perhaps with a more sturdy mic structure.
Headset arrived a few days early (a day before my birthday too so extra plus) sound quality is pretty good. Extremely comfortable and light. Although it shipped without the Dolby atmos code like they advertised.
Premium quality sound and feel. On time delivery too!

Great sound all around. First of all, I am in no means a "professional", "extreme", or "hard core" gamer. I don't go for MMORPGs or FPS games, with the exception of the classic "Wolfenstein 3D", but only for nostalgia's sake. The majority of the games I play are either hidden object games or first-person point-and-click puzzle games. Think of "Myst" or "Riven", or if you're like me, "Shivers". Maybe more recently, "The Eyes of Ara".That said, I wanted three things in a set of headphones or headset for my computer:1. Great stereo sound2. Comfort3. DurabilityI have tried numerous headphones on just about every computer I've owned. Granted, how well a computer's sound depends on the sound card, but that's only halfway there. Saying a computer's sound depends solely on the quality of the sound card is like saying a car is only as good as the tires mounted on it. You have to meet it halfway there, and you need a good input/output.Like I've said, I've used numerous different headphones. I've used some $20-30 Sony headphones. I've used a pair of BioWorld headphones that featured DJ P0n-3 (back when I was into "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic"). I've used a pair of $60 Skullcandy headphones. I also used a $25 Logitech headset. None of them seemed to work properly. They might have worked for a short while, but then they'd get uncomfortable, they would break, or the sound would become "tinny" or just not clear enough. I've had to mess with the computer's volume several times on one of the Sony headphones. The Razer Kraken Tournament Edition headset has everything I could ever ask for in a headset. Its framework is durable. The cushioned headband is very wide, so it doesn't feel like it's pinching any hairs or skin. The microphone is not only retractable, which was an issue I had with the Logitech headset, but can actually be turned off. Like I said, I don't play any games that would require the microphone, but it's there if I need it.But the sound! The sound is amazing! I read some of the complaints here, and the thing is, yes, you do have to install the driver and software for the headset. It instructs you to turn up the volume all the way. You may have to tweak it, depending on your system's hardware. There are several presets for different scenarios, and depending on the quality of your system's hardware, you may need to do some serious tweaking. After being stunned by how well the couple of games I was actively playing sounded, I put the headset to the ultimate test.Music.I tried it on a couple of rap songs. The bass seemed to be pretty good. I also tried it on a couple of classic rock (my main favorite genre of music) and the headset worked great. Now for the ultimate test.Pink Floyd.Any die-hard fan or anyone who's very familiar with Pink Floyd's discography will know that they used a lot of backmasking and layered tracks on their songs. Not only did you hear the actual lyrics and the instruments, but on albums like "The Wall" and "Dark Side of the Moon", there were underlying layers, mostly speech. "I've been mad for f***ing years!" "He's cruisin' for a bruisin'!" "Is it safe to travel at night?"I immediately put on Pink Floyd. I was familiar with what was said in the background, but this headset made it two or three times clearer than ever before. All I could do was sit there with my jaw on the floor. So far I am very satisfied with this headset.
These are worth their money. I personally do have a larger head and maybe a little sensitive ears but these headphones are perfect for that! Other headphones would make my ears feel too hot or end up having some discomfort but with these headphones I can listen or play games for hours on end.Hardware is amazing, nothing feels cheap and they are a little bit large but as long as you wear them on your own you’re good to go. They feel super light and durable plus the microphone is retractable so it makes it easy to keep them in good condition.Software is not the best I’ll admit, I’m semi tech savvy and it took me a little bit of investigating to be able to properly use the spatial audio on my PC so I can’t imaging the challenge for new buyers who aren’t as knowledgeable with these settings. I recommend looking up a video with a step by step basis for these because they will take you quite some time to set that up. Also you need to end up removing one of the headphones foam part just to be able to upload your device for the spatial audio so make sure to read the instructions and be careful! They don’t seem to be easily destroyed but you never want to take any chances and make sure to place them back in the super slim groove they were previously in.Spatial audio is par level I’d say. It wasn’t anything out of this world but definitely noticeable and It’s helped me throughout a few games when used correctly. I enjoy using it often though plus the little controller is able to be placed via a sticky surface on the bottom at a set location so that makes it easy to raise/lower the volume and mute myself with a click of a button. The microphone is one of the best sounding out there, I have had multiple headphones and my friends have all told me the audio quality on these are the best by far. It feels great to have such a significant improvement and not have to pester others with a bad quality microphone.Wait for the deal for these as they frequently go 20ish bucks cheaper! Any young gamer would enjoy these but so would those who are avid gamers later on in life! These are a bit older but definitely quality for the price. Highly recommend to anyone looking all over for headphones as I have.Oh and noise cancellation wasn’t super cancelling but honestly it felt like it blocked the perfect amount. You can hear someone calling to you but not someone cooking or watching TV in the next room.
I found myself turning them up and leaving them on the desk to act as a speaker. Jet black, no RGB, mic is retractable but stable. Wire is loooooong boy, kept the rubber tie to keep most of the extra wound up and out the way. Multiple sound controls going on here. Fabric woven wire but it seems like there's something else to stop it coiling too much and getting wrecked?
I bought this headset to replace my old 5.1 surround USB and the sound quality is so much better! They have some weight to them which is good and they stay on my head well and feel nice and cool. The ear cups are large enough that they don’t squish my ears and that makes it really comfortable. But there was 2 issues with setting it up.1. Razer synapse 3 would not download properly and stopped halfway through. I had to open windows firewall and create a new pathway specifically for the synapse 3 download file and allow it to pass so that it would download, then removed it afterwards and the synapse program works fine.2. The THX surround sound didn’t work for the past month I’ve had them, but the fix was really easy. For some reason the USB controller has a switch to raise game volume and lower chat, or vice versa. I had them set on chat sound in the windows playback options and the surround didn’t work. I then plugged them in with the 3.5mm jack and oh woah, they sounded so much better. So with the jack plugged into the controller you have to select the speaker icon that says game ready not the headset one that says earphones, and then raise the volume on the controller for the game sounds and now surround sound works and I can hear where shota are coming from, finally.Once I got the issues fixed the headset works amazing, the sound quality is insane and the controls work great, I just don’t use the chat volume and I don’t know why Razer added this feature when discord works fine over the regukar surround sound.
Amazing sound quality and headset is comfortable to wear for long hours of gaming
I primarily use this headset for taking phone calls from home. I was tired of the crap headsets that my work was providing (they kept breaking), so enough was enough and I went and purchased my own headset. The wire leading to the headset is made of good quality and the USB control box has the features I need to mute the headset easily. Mute has a circle around it when it is enabled. This is by far the best headset I have purchased so far. The voice quality is clear and I can adjust the volume further on the inline volume that is on the headset cabling it self (not on the USB control box). Have not yet tried out to THX audio yet. Overall, the bass performance is pretty good. You can crank up the volume on these things and the audio is still clear (even with the ear cups not on your ears). It's pretty impressive. The noise cancellation from the ear cups is good. I have someone that is working with me at home and it drowns them out, so I can retain my focus. I find that the noise cancellation is so good that I sometimes need to take one ear cup off so I can hear my own voice or hear someone else in the room. At first, I thought this was annoying, but I quickly got used to it. It's just the way they are designed. I have been using these for months and I have been happy. No real complaints.
