decent wireless headset, light weight, certified refurbished. I purchased this item from Kanga supply. The headset quality is very nice. there are few points i need to mention.1. it come with certified refurbished warranty card from windsor. not sure if other sellers than kanga supply has a certification for the refurbished headset.2. this headset RIG 800HD is specifically for PC. when you connect to pc, you will need to use the usb wirless signal caster connect to your pc then hold button for 3s on the singal caster to start pairing with headset, then push the power button on headset upward and hold for 10s to pair with signal caster. After successfully pair up, the light on the signal caster will turn purple. Red means your headset is not pair with the signal caster (this step is not clear in the plantronic set up manual.)3. it has a dobly atoms activation code inside the box. You can use dolby atmos, windows sonic and DTS:Xultra on pc. Dolby atmos and DTS both sounds really great.overall the headset is very light and comfortable. it has decent sound quality too.
WORKS GOOD FOR PC. NOT XBOX, PS, OR ANY OTHER CONSOLE. It does not work for Xbox or PS. The headphones are great, Sound quality is amazing. REALLY GOOD FOR R6. But you have to be on a PC. My brother has the the 700 and when It wouldn't connect to my xbox we tried switching adapters. And low and behold, it worked. *A 700 adapter will work with a 800 headset for consoles.* Other than that it works fantastically. Great auto, great sound compression, great headset. Just doesn't work with consoles.
Not impressed. Now that I have them, I'm not impressed. Research failed me here. There is a reason Plantronics sold these off to Nacon.First, like many others, NO CODE included, as advertised. Huge let down there. For the price, sound quality isn't bad, but it's nothing special. Atmos works, but not nearly as well as even a cell phones speakers with atmos (s20, and razer phone 2). For things without atmos, good bluetooth aptx earbuds are better on the wireless side (klipsch), or wired you'll find tin hifi with a decent DAC WAY better... let down again there. For a "gaming headset", the style and comfort are top notch, but the sound bleed is HUGE - so don't expect chat privacy.Build materials do NOT justify full price - you're paying for a name/look with these. If you can get them around $50, go for it - around $150 get something else. Albeit, Dolby Atmos headset options are limited.
No atmos code but can use Windows Sonic. Great sounding headphone with no atmos code as mentioned. Atmos is a one time fee of $14.99 after a 30 day trial, so it's not too expensive. No issues with the item itself such as the mic or the speakers. The item did have minor scratches on it but that's to be expected.A great alternative to paying for atmos if you still want to buy these headphones for a great price is windows Sonic which is very similar and included on all windows 10 versions. It has a very similar sound to atmos and works with these headphones.
Almost 3 years and going strong. Best headset ever. Comfortable and a light fit, doesn't block out any outside sound but the sound is clear. Best headset I've ever had. Pins holding cups are a bit loose after 3 years, but, it's wear and tear. I'll be buying a new one soon.,
If my son says - awesome means more than awesome. Got it for him and he's 12 and picky and never satisfied, more than 5 min. But writing review after 3 weeks and he told me - very comfortable, very long range, very nice sound and Discord (Huh?) everyone can hear me. Very good. His best thing he likes: lift the microphone handle and become muted. Only question I asked - does Atmos thing work? He said - I play games in it, don't really care about Atoms or Neutrons.
Works well, however. This is a great headset for gaming, new or used. The overall quality of the product is good quality. Now the only caveat I have is after lifting the boom mic up and pulling it down, the connector inside the pivot point ends up breaking. The sound quality from the headset is awesome. Absolutely love the Dolby Atmos sound that they produce! But the Mic! I have gone through two of these headsets for the SAME exact problem. When voice chatting you will eventually start cutting out and then it will just stop working. But even though I love the sound quality and the wearability and comfort of these all day long without your head hurting or ears hurting makes me sad that Poly could never figure out the mic usage failure. The battery life on these is awesome. I ended up only needing to charge these once a week with heavy use.
Excellent head phones. So far these have been excellent for long live streaming sessions. Lightweight and very comfortable with easily adjusted headband. It will be tough to beat the value for the quality these headphones provide for the price. These came highly recommended to me from a gamer who had invested in multiple pairs of other more expensive headphone sets and after owning them for 2 weeks I see why they were all returned and my friend kept these. You won't be disappointed.
Like 'em a lot. Good quality for the price, feel and sound great.
This headset is perfect in every way except one. It's light, durable, comfortable, stylish. The mic is not flimsy and flips up easily to mute. The sound quality is amazing. It's simple to setup and easy to use. It's better than anything on the market and yet IT IS COMPLETELY UNUSABLE.The microphone passes through to the speakers meaning when the microphone is down YOU WILL HAVE WHITE NOISE flooding into your ears. There is no way to mute this. Not in software, not in hardware. Not with a firmware update, not in any Windows settings (yes I disabled "Listen to this Device"). Yes I tried the EQ button. Yes I tried volume levels.THIS IS WORKING AS DESIGNED. And the design makes it completely unusable. You can't leave the mic down during a game without white noise and hearing every button click and sound in the room amplified into your head.DID NOBODY TRY TO USE THIS?!?! I have the Rig HD500 and I love it. It does not suffer from this insane "feature". I can't imagine what kind of insane industrial designer thought it was a good idea to amplify noise IN A GAMING HEADSET. I was told to simply flick the mic up to mute it when I'm not talking. Have you never played a game before?!?!? What the hell kind of madness is this? This is worse than crap. Crap I can deal with. But taking the best headset on the market and DELIBERATELY neutering it like this is infuriating.

Great for office and gaming. Love these plush over the ear headphones! The comfort headband over the head with no pressure at all. I use this for work and gaming! The Dolby Atmos is a PLUS for the extra sound quality!
Great price great sound. Great set of headphones for a great price
Buen sonido y micro. Todo bien, buena calidad.
not a lot of volume. I got these to try out the Atmos license. Pros: they're very comfortable. Cons: the volume is weak, the cable is short, and the difference in quality from the Dolby license isn't really noticeable; I could hear an enemy NPC sneaking up on me about as well with these as I could with my last pair. As for the sound itself, I'm an audiophile, I've worked in recording studios, and if there's any difference in the sound quality itself, I can't hear it. If anything, these are slightly worse because the total volume is too low. I can't return these now that I've activated the Atmos license, but I'm thinking of donating them and buying a different pair.
Over-all, the fit and finish of this product, is pure quality. Dolby Atmos is truly impressive. The fist thing I noticed about this Gaming Headset was that it was feather light, but neither looked nor felt cheap. The headband is molded out of strong, flexible and light plastic, with an high-tech design. The ear cups are adjustable to three heights. For the price, the speakers sound pristine on the highs and rock bottom on the low frequencies. The ear-pads are made out of cloth covered, soft and airy foam. They let a fair degree of sound in, which I like, so I can hear my roommate talking or the phone ringing while playing, and I like this. The head-strap fits snugly, giving these headsets a solid feel. The mic-boom is removable. I would have liked a mic that tucked away instead; only because I feel I might lose track of the mic. Over-all, the fit and finish of this product, is pure quality. My only other negative comment I have is that oval ear-cups would have fit my big ears better.I purchased the Plantronics RIG 400 because I did need a new Gaming Headset, but mostly for the included Dolby Atmos access code, which came bundled with it. I immediately fell in love with Dolby Atmos, when I sampled Dolby Access for the Xbox One. The layers of sound was truly impressive and I just had to subscribe to the service.
Good inexpensive headset. Sounds great and the flexible headband is awesome...you can just break these things down if you want to stuff them in a bag and you dont have to worry about snapping your headset from rolling over on it or something. My only real complaint is the cable could be longer and detachable like the mic, but in an entry level market completely flooded with cheap rebadged crap, this one floats to the top for sure.
Microphone didn't work; not convincing 3D. On the 3D front, I don't know what I expected for such an inexpensive device that has no head tracking, but I was still disappointed by the Dolby Atmos demos: "You can tell where the sound is with pinpoint accuracy!" Um, no, it still sounds like it's in my head; I can barely tell the difference between this and the stereo headphones of yesteryear. That's disappointing but not a deal breaker at that price. But the microphone not working is a real problem. The microphone wouldn't pick up my voice with any real volume on my Windows 11 Samsung laptop (I'd shout and the test would say my volume was at 4%), and yes I tried all the usual troubleshooting steps, made sure the mute mic button was off, made sure the sound gain was at max in the settings menu, etc.
Highly Recommend. These headphones were even better than advertised. Delivery was very quick, and the price was awesome!

Great sound great seller mediocre mic. Awesome headphones with amazing surround xound. Product was sold in like new condition but seemed as if it was completelynew. so happy with this seller and product, but if there is one small issue it's the mic, which is not nearly as quality as the t st of the headset, but since it can be removed and replaced with a better mic, this is barely an issue.
Love the headset. Love the headset! $100 is a bit pricey, however if you are like me and have an old style Xbox one controller, that does not have an audio jack, then this is a good fit for you. This Headset comes with an audio interface module that connects to the controller.m and gives you that needed audio jack. Overall the sound quality is great and the audio interface module come packed with a bunch of cool features. READ THE MANUAL on the Plantrinics website.
Cheap but they work. For the money they are great. But they feel very cheap and light. The head band adjustability is very odd. The headphone cups have a little bit of plastic that sticks out and you have 3 slots to fit them into on the band itself. The volume control that plugs into the controller is also cheap and trying to find that perfect volume can be hard. Also prone to getting bumped and easily changing volume. So you'll either go deaf or blow your ear drums if you bump it as there is very little resistance. The sound quality it decent. A lot of tuning options in the atmos app on Pc or Xbox. One thing to note is it will block out the quick volume adjustments from the Xbox home menu. So it's all down to the physical volume sliders on the controller mount. Whether you actually need that little box to get the atmos effect is debatable. As there isn't much difference in my experience.Works well for me and if you're looking for a headset that doesn't brake the bank these are decent. And definitely worth a look if you want a headset and are wanting to upgrade from the standard Xbox headset that's included in many consoles. But they are cheap so don't be rage quitting and throw these across the room as I doubt they'd handle it at all.
Amazing headset. I love this headset! The sound quality is awesome and very comfortable well worth the money you pay for it
Overall this is a pretty good quality headset. The sound is pretty good. My friends say I sound a lot more realistic with this mic than I did with my after glow ag9 headset. I got to say the preamp adapter for the headset is quite obtrusive and the wire for the headset isn’t very tough/durable though. The do get really loud but you’ll always be able to hear those sneaky footsteps though. A big con that I’m starting to get over though is the absence of mic monitoring when using the preamp adapter though. Please be careful with the wire though.
Love them, best bang for the buck. Love these. bought them for gaming. Ended up using it for work as well. The quality is superior and the Dolby subscription is legit. A ++
Great But. the only problem I have with them is the sound block. If I plug it into any of my controllers it won't work. But it works fine plugging the headset directly into the jack.
Failed after 3 months. The right speaker failed after 3 months of daily use. Prior to the right speaker failing to work, the sound was amazing and it was very comfortable to wear.
Me sirvió para pasar a una mejor diadema al final de me rompió con el uso , todo se escucha Perfecto con el Microfono te escuchan bien , tiene buena cancelación de ruido pero recomiendo ver otras opciones
Fantastic quality sound is great and have no problem with connection , really good mic no robotic sound.
Excelente producto buena calidad y excelente sonido

Reasonable priced headset, 1 things to check for now. I just got the product today and it's sound and quality seems reasonable compare to other $100 wireless headsets maybe better, haven't tried other headsets much (G533). But it's definitely better than a $30 wired one. Light weighted, comfortable for big head, Dolby Atmos sound... I'm very satisfied with it for now.But there are 1 things people need to know when they get the product. Some people will find out that the microphone makes you hear yourself. This is called sidetone and it can't be solved through pc for this headset. So you will have to press the button which is under the right side of the headset for 3 seconds and soon you will hear 3 beep sound. Then press it again for 3 seconds and you will hear 1 beep sound. Now the headset won't have the sidetone.Other than that, I didn't find any problem using it and I will have to check things out by using this as my main headset. I hope I could use this headset for long time.
A+ SQ / A+ Battery / A+ Reliability. I use it for work & talk 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week for a year & half - still works great & sounds great. When I work overtime, I'm on calls for up to 16 hours a day & the battery lasts.I listen to music while on calls, Windows10 reduces my Pandora & goes back to normal between calls. Light weight, cool around the ears & head. Only con is the inability for Windows 10 to control mic input. There are 4 EQ settings & the 2nd setting works best for my taste - bass & treble is just right for instrumentals. Hold down the EQ button for voice feedback so you can hear yourself. Noise isolation is descent & no need for Active Noise Cancellation, which saves on battery life. It's best to have a headset stand but you can lean it on its side & it'll stay up.It works well with our Telecom software, Zoom, voice recording for presentations & of course music. I normally listen to music with an amplified open-back headphones & the sound quality in the Rig 800HD impresses me. Lastly, it also matches my watch - which is a bonus.
This will work on Playstation 4. The PlayStation specific version is currently not in stock. This version WILL ABSOLUTELY WORK FOR PS4.To have full functionality of the volume slider you have to do a few steps on PS4.If you have a PS4 slim, plug your optical cable into your TV's optical port and the chat/game audio mixer dial will function correctlyIMPORTANT - your audio format (priority) must be set to linear PCM in the PS4 audio output settings or it won't work. This is found in Settings>Sound and screen>Audio output settings. If you have a regular PS4 or PS4 pro, just use the optical out on the back of your console. The only difference between this version and the PS4 version is the trim color, and this version has "sidetone" Aka mic monitoring. This is my second pair and I would literally buy no other headset.1- The price of this headset compared to others of similar quality cannot be beat.2- This is absolutely the most comfortable headset you can find3- The audio quality is very good and even better than a few of my $300+ studio headphonesThe only flaw with these is the internal wiring for the microphone, if you get these, when you flip the mic up to mute yourself, remember to do it slowly and gently, or the delicate wiring will degrade overtime and you will be stuck without a working mic.Despu8 this flaw and the fact I had to order another one because of it, it still gets 5 stars.Again, this headset will work with PS4 and have full functionality.
Took one star off cause 2nd one I received wasnt in original box. I dont do streaming but I do play video games with friends online. The wired headset I had for 4 years finally was shorting out. Broke my heart cause I really loved it since it was simple. No crazy bells, whistles, or lights. Just great quality all round but...not wireless. So boyfriend suggested getting the Sennheiser GSP 370 and another friend suggested the RIG 800HD Dolby Atmos. I decided id buy both and if I didnt like the one the boyfriend suggested, id give it to him. If i liked both then one would be back up. Sadly the Sennheiser just didnt fit comfortably for me. No matter what I did to adjust or try, my head just did not agree with it. For me its comfort over quality first. So I gave that headset to the boyfriend. The Rig fit me perfectly. I didnt have to do any adjusting, it sat right and felt great. I also wear glasses and my friend has mentioned that the way the headsets sit it doesnt irritate or cause part of the glasses to get pitched up against the headset causing rubbing and irritation. Which is a big plus for me. Sound quality it good to me. Maybe not as outstanding as the wired headset I had which was eargasmic when i would listen to music on it, but its not far off. Prior to my wired headset I had tried Logitech and Corsair. They seemed to fail my fastest but this one is still doing fine for me. Its working just fine, battery lasting and all around great. I wouldnt mind buying again if it ever came to it and my friends hear me clearly. I also have twins who fight a lot and when i play with my friends they rarely notice them so the noise cancelation does a decent job.-Bought 2nd one on 1/2024-My mother one broke, but nothing to do with a malfunction of the headset itself. It fell and the clip that the earphone goes into broke and I would have to be with one earphone on and the other hanging. Which is no go. I had went with a couple different brands after that to see if anything could compare. One even being an Astro (customized colors) headset and the quality was laughable for the price. Never again, so I came back to this headset. Whats funny is it listed only one left and as I went to do some reviews on previously bought items I noticed it listed and when I clicked on it 2/7/24 it now says there are only two left in stock. Seems a bit upsetting because again at the time I decided to come back it listed 1 left, and the one I received was not in an original box sealed like the first one I got. The headset was just sitting in a plastic piece that would of went inside of the original box. Just open basically inside of a generic box for shipping. It had all the items and so far works fine. It did have some slight scuffs on the plastic but it functions and charges. First night I charged it, next day headset held up all day and didnt need charged to mid day next day. I wasnt going to write and complain to the seller. My guess is maybe the original box had damage but not the stuff inside, or at least not significant amount of damage, so they tossed it in a regular shipping box and sent it to me if it was indeed the "last one then had left" which I could understand, but now I am seeing they have two more now left, just leaves me feeling like that seems a bit fishy.
Headset arrived a few days early (a day before my birthday too so extra plus) sound quality is pretty good. Extremely comfortable and light. Although it shipped without the Dolby atmos code like they advertised.
Premium quality sound and feel. On time delivery too!

UPDATED 4-14: best headset ever once Razer helped me. UPDATE 4-14-19:I got my new set a couple days ago and finally hooked it up and installed all the drivers (very carefully) and o-m-g this set is everything I'd hoped for... The first was faulty but Razer sent me a new one via an RMA... Definitely worth the wait. Highly recommended! For a "budget" set this thing exceeds all expectations. I still stand by everything I said in my initial review... The comfort of these things is to die for. I don't want to take them off. Also, they're great if you wear glasses! I'm not constantly taking my glasses off, or the set, to take a break from the constant pressure on my temple. Finally a headset that my blind a** can enjoy.Sound quality plus comfort is way better than any set I've owned (and I've bought 3 more name brand sets since this one, while waiting for this set to make it to me). The Logitech set I own is incredibly uncomfortable and will be my backup now.Soooo happy with this headset! If you have issues with yours, read my initial review and go call Razer support.I'm adding the star back to make this review 5 stars just because this headset is THAT GOOD when working properly. Normally it'd remain 4 stars, but since I love it so much... I think the frustration and wait was totally worth it.Also... This set does not have any lighting! So if you want that distracting glow on your headset, these are not for you.--Initial review:I wrote out a really long, awesome review that I held off on until I messed with the drivers. An hour after taking the headset out of the package, it was broken. By broken I mean it didn't play sound on my PC anymore... At least, not really. Before the drivers finished installing the sound was insanely good. The bass... omg... SO incredible. Not to mention the comfort of these things, man! But once the drivers installed, the sound was so quiet I could barely hear a thing. I turned the equalizers up all the way and could still barely hear a thing. I almost cried. I tried everything. I had the volume on my PC, the cable of the headset, and on the controller up at full volume. I reinstalled every driver associated with sound. Finally, I contacted Razer support and they were absolutely amazing. We finally came to the conclusion that it was, in fact, the hardware that was at fault, and he set up for me to receive a brand new set once they received my old one. I bought a used set from Amazon, not from them. And they were well aware of this.I didn't want to just return this set, because they are actually amazing:1. The sound quality (before they stopped working) was incredible. I turned on Aesthetic Perfection, turned up the bass on the controller, and BOOM! I felt like I was playing a live industrial show again, standing between two amps. I mean, absolutely amazing! No idea how the drivers managed to cause them to stop working.2. The comfort is something I didn't even know existed! I mean, no I'm not some hotshot gamer who buys every name brand gamer device but I have spent thousands of dollars on having a comfortable bed and environment... I'm a game modder (Skyrim, SSE, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Dragons Dogma, TW3, FO4, etc) whose sole purpose is to give players an incredible, immersive, and realistic experience through hyper-realistic textures. Basically, quality and comfort are very important to me... So I may know a thing or two about the importance of good sound quality.3. The mic. Okay, this one I was expecting to be bad because of the reviews... And I didn't care. I really don't ever plan to use the mic, since I'm a solo player now (don't have time or patience to deal with Beibers anymore, thanks for ruining MMO gaming btw!!! luvyewguyz). But anyways, the mic seemed to work fantastic. No issues that other people reported there, although I haven't done extensive testing, since I don't really keep friends. Definitely a lone wolf (by choice).I am upset that Amazon sent me a faulty device, however. I guess I can't really blame them. This is my first time purchasing a used product/refurb from Amazon that didn't work though.I am going to update this review once I receive the new one, even though I'm not getting it from here. The reviews on Amazon are for the product themselves and not the seller. The purpose of seller feedback is for you to rate the seller, and as far as I know... I did get the headset SUPER early (two days, actually. I have prime and get two-day shipping, but usually it takes four days for me to get anything I order... yet it took one day). So that's pretty awesome. I'm sure Amazon simply checks to see if a product turns on, and didn't think to plug up the controller and check whether it connects and works fine.I'm glad I contacted Razer though and got them to take it, so no one else would receive a faulty product.
Great headset. I have a huge head, and most headsets are not comfortable. These ones are great in that respect. They are tight enough to be secure and block outside noise well; but padded enough to be very comfortable. The controls are nice, and build quality seems overall quite good to me. I have a minor distaste for the EQ. Bass is fantastic, mids are good, but highs are (IMO) pretty muddled and not "bright". If I was using this primarily for music, that may be a deal breaker. For chatting online and gaming though, sounds great.
Don't let THX spatial surround sound be the deciding factor. These headphones are great. I got them for just over $50 on sale, and they're some amazing quality headphones with some cool features. I'll go over them quickly. The headset has a 3.5mm audio jack with a little volume adjustment knob on the cord and a mic mute button. Nothing special in that regard. But there are more features to unlock if you plug the 3.5mm jack into the included USB dongle. Mainly: bass boost control, chat/game volume adjustment, another mic mute button with a light indicator, volume adjustment buttons that adjust the volume of the HEADPHONES ONLY, and not in the computer sound settings. You can still use the volume wheel and mic mute on the 3.5mm cable when plugged into this. But the one feature that they want you to look at the most is the THX spatial surround sound. And let me make this loud and clear for you:don't use it.It's bad. It's really bad. So bad I've been tempted to just spend $10 on Dolby Atmos and just use that instead. Stereo just sounds so much nicer compared to the indescribable, pathetic attempt at surround sound that THX provides. Don't bother setting it up in Razer Synapse, it's a complete waste of time.Comfort wise, they're awesome. I had the wireless Razer Man O War headphones before these, and I couldn't bear to wear them for more than probably 2 hours at a time without taking them off for a while. But compare those old headphones to these, with better padding and metal aluminum construction, it's a far superior product in my opinion, comfort wise. They're lighter, more comfortable and just all in all easier on the head and ears. The microphone is okay. Don't expect this headset to come with a high quality microphone. If you want quality, get yourself a condenser mic or a dynamic mic and pre-amp. The mic included in this headset is tiny, and it's very very quiet. I have to bring it maybe an inch from my mouth to get a good sound out of it. Even then, the mic is still okay at best and you're going to get a lot of pops, and unnecessary distortion. It will do it's job, and it will do it okay at best. All in all, these headphones do sound great. I love the way they feel and it's truly a step up from what I had before. Just don't expect the THX spatial surround sound to be any good. It's not, and it never will be.
I found myself turning them up and leaving them on the desk to act as a speaker. Jet black, no RGB, mic is retractable but stable. Wire is loooooong boy, kept the rubber tie to keep most of the extra wound up and out the way. Multiple sound controls going on here. Fabric woven wire but it seems like there's something else to stop it coiling too much and getting wrecked?
I bought this headset to replace my old 5.1 surround USB and the sound quality is so much better! They have some weight to them which is good and they stay on my head well and feel nice and cool. The ear cups are large enough that they don’t squish my ears and that makes it really comfortable. But there was 2 issues with setting it up.1. Razer synapse 3 would not download properly and stopped halfway through. I had to open windows firewall and create a new pathway specifically for the synapse 3 download file and allow it to pass so that it would download, then removed it afterwards and the synapse program works fine.2. The THX surround sound didn’t work for the past month I’ve had them, but the fix was really easy. For some reason the USB controller has a switch to raise game volume and lower chat, or vice versa. I had them set on chat sound in the windows playback options and the surround didn’t work. I then plugged them in with the 3.5mm jack and oh woah, they sounded so much better. So with the jack plugged into the controller you have to select the speaker icon that says game ready not the headset one that says earphones, and then raise the volume on the controller for the game sounds and now surround sound works and I can hear where shota are coming from, finally.Once I got the issues fixed the headset works amazing, the sound quality is insane and the controls work great, I just don’t use the chat volume and I don’t know why Razer added this feature when discord works fine over the regukar surround sound.
Amazing sound quality and headset is comfortable to wear for long hours of gaming
I primarily use this headset for taking phone calls from home. I was tired of the crap headsets that my work was providing (they kept breaking), so enough was enough and I went and purchased my own headset. The wire leading to the headset is made of good quality and the USB control box has the features I need to mute the headset easily. Mute has a circle around it when it is enabled. This is by far the best headset I have purchased so far. The voice quality is clear and I can adjust the volume further on the inline volume that is on the headset cabling it self (not on the USB control box). Have not yet tried out to THX audio yet. Overall, the bass performance is pretty good. You can crank up the volume on these things and the audio is still clear (even with the ear cups not on your ears). It's pretty impressive. The noise cancellation from the ear cups is good. I have someone that is working with me at home and it drowns them out, so I can retain my focus. I find that the noise cancellation is so good that I sometimes need to take one ear cup off so I can hear my own voice or hear someone else in the room. At first, I thought this was annoying, but I quickly got used to it. It's just the way they are designed. I have been using these for months and I have been happy. No real complaints.
