Great laptop. Great laptop. Fast with great graphics. Hate the huge clunky power adapter.

Good basic laptop for video, 3D rendering, and graphic art. I bought this to replace my antique HP laptop because I do video editing and I’m starting to branch out and learn 3D modeling with Blendr and Daz3D. . It tackles renders fairly quick and doesn’t lag when editing video with Davinci Resolve. Battery life can be short depending on how hard you are pushing it but I keep it plugged in mostly. I would definitely recommend getting a cooling stand with fans to put under it because the bottom will get hot under a constant workload.I love mine so far!11/4/23 EDIT.Started playing FiveM GTA and Ark Ascended on the laptop and can run both on very high settings with no sweat. Laptop still going strong. I should’ve opted for the larger Hard Drive but will add an external SSD soon. 500GB runs out of space fast. Loving this little powerhouse of a laptop!
Great performance, noisy cooling system. I bought this laptop for just 1099$ on sale and I'm absolutely satisfied. After setting up Gaming mode in MSI Center and updating Nvidia drivers all latest games that I play run smoothly, without freezes. Running heavy games laptop soon becomes hot on center top, but cooling system works well and handles it. But it's very noisy when running on full speed.Screen is good, I didn't have other laptops in same price category to compare, but this one is okay to me.Battery is a weak side of this laptop. Don't expect to spend some hours in cafe doing your work on it, battery lasts for very very short time.Great that laptop has additional slot for SSD memory stick and two slots for RAM, so you can extend it.
Unbelievable for the price. For $1100 this is a super good deal. I dropped in a 2tb nvme and 32gb of ram and this thing runs like a beast. The 3070 has not stumbled on anything I've played and the cpu is running very well. It does get pretty hot, but something like the GT500 laptop cooler and alleviate that.Set up was a breeze and it was easy to upgrade as well. Highly recommended for a laptop with a lot of power and a solid price. It is probably more expensive that others, but the 3070 and the cpu in this laptop are super solid. For 1080p, they have more than ample power for whatever you throw on it.
Good for the price, with some issues. I got the 12UGKV-464 version, which is the i7-12700H with the RTX 3070.Pros:Very fast, runs new games at Ultra with no problemStyling, i like it but that's subjectiveCompact for a laptop with this performanceBang for buck, if you grab it on sale, it's worth the amount of performance you can get for a laptop at this price point compared to its competitorsCons:Screen color is awful (I've spent hours in the app trying to correct it but it is just bad)Runs HOT, even with the fan on max, I've seen the CPU jump above 90c many times.Storage, it comes with a 512gb drive, which with windows leaves you with not much room. This version only has one extra m2 slot and no 2.5" slot. Also, adding another drive requires you to open to laptop, breaking the seal and voiding your warranty.Battery life, I brought this to a meeting at work once instead of my smaller chromebook. Even on 'super battery mode', only running MS Word, the battery didn't survive the 1.5 hour meeting. It's technically a laptop but don't expect to be able to use it not plugged in for any amount of time.Overall, I'd give it a 4/5.The performance of this thing is great, I've tried many new games with it and it's performed very well. The cooling issues are very concerning, as this can seriously shorten the lifespan of the CPU (the GPU doesn't seem to have the same issues). The heat, lack of expandable storage, nonexistant battery life, and the screen coloration are holding this back from being a 5/5 for me. If you are going to use this primarily at home, somewhere it can be kept well ventilated, connected to an external monitor and occasionally bring it out, I'd suggest it.
LOVE MSI. I bought this because I was in the market for a new computer. My desktop gaming PC had just died. But I didn't want something that was SUPER powerful. I just wanted something mid kinda. Because I have all 3 next gen consoles and I game on those. This laptop came super quick and was packaged very nicely. It runs all the games I threw at it flawlessly. I had some rather massive updates to do via Windows Update. But when it was all said and done, the laptop is freaking great and fast!!
It was what I expected for a gaming laptop, great quality-price. The laptop is great, quality-price. The only thing is not so good is the battery life but you can improve it and plug it in if you need to play video games or work hard with it. It can also heat up especially when you are playing, but that is normal too for a gaming laptop, you can turn onn fans to cool it down which is great, and in my personal opinions they are just a little noisy. I say it is a good buy If you want somethung fast and if you don't mind pluging it constantly or using a cooling table. I am happy with it so far.
Graphics Drivers for gaming. I have owned it for several days. Easily added on TD SSD drive. Cools okay. Great build much better than the old steel series. Has Nice nice keyboard too. The only issue I had was trying to run Mech warrior 5. I ran it stock out of the box at full graphics and the game would shake and crash and give me a running out of vid memory. I know that can't be an issue as I run the game on high with an MSI GV62 BRD with a 1051TI card at high with no issues. I did dump some bloatware such as Disney and the free gaming XBOX and lowered graphics to high and the game ran okay. I will be experimenting further.Update 12/6/22I can now play it on Ultra with no issues. Dumping the bloatware and updating graphics drivers. seems to have solved the problem. Laptop runs at 70c when playing Mech warrior 5 at max graphics settings. For $1099 bucks on sale it was an excellent buy.

For $1100 at the time of purchase - fantastic. Is it an 85watt Rtx 3070? Yes.That aside, this thing is fantastic. I use it for hardcore gaming(Tarkov, XCOM 2, Elden Ring, etc). I also use it for my professional work. I have a hub plugged into the USB C with plenty of ports to give me three monitors total as well as more USB 3.1 slots. The RTX 3070 that is in this thing is no joke. Some people will come in here and claim "well, it might work like such and such card". The 3070 even at 85watts in this laptop performs better than my Windforce x3 2070 that was in my desktop. Not only was there a performance increase in my games but there was a big increase in my lightbaking in Unity and in Blender for those of you that know what that means. Plenty of power in the GPU to play a game in 1080p Ultra and also stream it on Twitch at the same time. The cpu is also damn good. This laptop replaced a desktop that I had built that had an i5 11400 , 32 gb of 3000 ddr 4, and a rtx 2070. The 11800h outperforms the 11400 desktop CPU in every task I threw at it. I like to mine crypto as a benchmark for testing my equipment(PassMark is also really good - userbenchmarks is a scam - read about it). The 11800h mined at a 30% better rate than the 11400 at a much lower wattage. The RTX 3070 85w that is in the laptop out mined a desktop 2070 at 180w 50mh to 42mh for eth.The onboard keyboard is responsive and the 144hz screen is just icing on the cake as far as I am concerned. Speakers are good. I use earbuds anyway and this laptop pumps out the volume so you can definitely hear your opponents in games just fine.Fan control that is on this thing is also great. Sitting here typing this which a few tabs open, discord open, three monitors, and about 10 usb devices plugged in: I am pulling 32c on both the gpu and cpu according to afterburner.I have been using this machine since Blackfriday 2021. If I had another $110, I would buy it again no question.
A Beast of a VR Gaming Laptop! Also plays Starfield VERY well. I got this laptop primarily for gaming purposes. I had purchased an Oculus Quest 2 and wanted to try PCVR gaming. Out of the box I'd rate it a 4/5. I got some graphical VR glitching every now and then and some slowdown. Then I upgraded to 32GB of RAM and WOW that made all of the difference! No slowdown at all playing games like No Man's Sky VR in mostly Ultra settings. That is by far the most demanding VR game that I own. All other games play buttery smooth. I ended up needing more hard drive space as 1TB just is not enough anymore. Adding more space was super easy since there is an extra NVME slot on the motherboard. I recommend putting copper heatsinks on the NVME drives as well to keep them nice and cool. The other thing I recommend is getting into the BIOS into the advanced settings and ramping up the cooling. Your laptop will live longer. You have to do some magic to get to this hidden BIOS menu but there is documentation out there on the internet to get to these hidden options. Also for best VR performance, I bought a DLink VR Bridge (used with the Oculus Remote Desktop app for wireless VR). It creates a Direct WiFi 6 connection to the Oculus. I'm not gonna lie, I've got some money wrapped up in this laptop, but fully worth it! The only real downside is the heat. Since this beast has copper tubing running all through it to cool it, don't expect to do hard core gaming on your lap without a cooling station underneath it! Those fans just push that hot air out like a rocket....onto your lap. For VR gaming, I just set the laptop on its side and set it on the floor. That allows cooling to happen without roasting my legs.
Probably the best laptop I ever owned. This MSI is quite the little powerhouse, it runs any game I throw at it at a steady 60 FPS with max graphical settings. I initially stress tested it with Doom Eternal, and it was as though I was playing it on my desktop. If there were any differences they were so negligible I didn't notice. On top of that with the 16 gigs of ram as opposed to 8 gigs, which is usually put into gaming laptops, makes multitasking during gameplay a non issue. Whether you're recording gameplay, or listening to spotify, or both! The MSI is also built with metal casing unlike some of it's competitors, such as the Acer Razor, which is pure plastic. This gives it a sturdy feel, and adds a bit of protection. Now, I did say this is a powerhouse so it does suck battery life rather fast. Granted there are options to conserve power, but even then at the very, very most you may get half a dozen hours, but more likely closer to four, or five. This for me isn't a deal breaker since I generally have a power socket nearby, and when I do not it's only for and hour or two max.I will also point out that this machine gets hot, real hot the harder you push it. So I highly suggest using a cooling pad with it.Other than that it's been running magnificently over the last few weeks since I got it. If you're looking for a really good gaming laptop, this is worth the price, and then some.I highly recommend!
It runs League great, but mostly relieved at its ability to run heavier things like After Effects and REAPER without lagging every two seconds. I've had it for a month, don't carry it around and use it as a computer essentially so I was a bit surprised when it started glitching out which is why I gave it 4 stars and not 5. The R key out of the blue suddenly became less sensitive, and when I disconnect it from my second monitor, YouTube video playback always ends up glitched on the laptop screen (partial black screen on player, endless scrolling of the video so that it appears and disappears). My drivers and device are all fully updated, and I've double checked my monitor display settings. I got this laptop since the specs fit what I need for animation so I'm a little concerned; if it persists, I'll probably get it checked out by a professional. Besides these two glitches though everything else is great and runs well. High fan setting is nice for controlling the heat when I do mor CPU heavy tasks. Pretty quick all around.
Es muy buena para los juegos, me sirve muy bien.
El producto llego en buen estado y dos días antes de lo programado
Me a resultado como un excelente equipo hasta ahora

Good value and performance. Product ID: G614JI-AS94.Price: $1649.Pros:- Value. The I9-13980HX + GeForce RTX 4070 are a step above mid-tier hardware and are offered here at a reasonable price compared to other "gaming laptops."- Performance. I've been able to play the newest and biggest games all on high / very high settings. I've had no issues, and I feel as if the games look and play great.- Upgradability. I've NOT upgraded my machine as I don't wish to void the warranty. However, and as there was confusion in other reviews, I have personally spoken directly with ASUS support ,as well as Crucial support, and I've confirmed that YES this machine can be upgraded to 64GB of Ram (2x 32GB sticks) and YES there is an available open SSD slot. As such, and considering current prices of Ram and SSDs, you can scale this up to 64GB Ram and add second SSD for a D-drive for a minimal additional investment to really finish out this machine.- Wifi. I get SIGNIFICANTLY better wireless Internet speeds on this device than the older gaming laptop I replaced. Did not expect that, but was pleasantly surprised.- Sounds. Speakers sound good enough. Music through Spotify is crisp and bass gets picked up okay too.Cons:- Battery life. When playing a video game on battery power, I get about only 45-minutes of game time, which is disappointing. However, performance seems to remain higher than expected. When general web browsing or doing home office tasks, I get about 3 hours. When streaming content, such as Netflix, I about about 2 hours, which is frustrating as you can't really watch a movie on a single charge.- Number pad. I was expecting a digital number pad or display as part of the track pad per the advertisement. This model number, G614JI-AS94, does not have that feature and that was very disappointing and seemed misleading.- Touchpad. Doesn't feel as responsive as the touchpad on the older gaming laptop I replaced. Additionally, oftentimes after exiting a video game the touchpad will outright not work and require a device restart.- Lights. As an adult, the multicolored lights are annoying and not something I'm interested in. It was not immediately intuitive on how to turn them off, but I found out that you can do so through the included software.- Startup sound. It's awful and ear piercing! I can't figure out how to turn it off.- Camera. Would have liked a better resolution here as it's not great.Indifferent:- Screen. I'm not a "gamer" so I don't really care or know anything about refresh rate. For me, it seems bright, clear, and things look good! However, I personally wish it was a 15.6 inch machine and not the 16 inch, as I'd prefer a slightly smaller and wider screen than this square.- Ports. Good enough for me and has everything I needed. However, some people might wish for more options. Conclusion:If you're not a real gamer, but want to play games, this is a great option that offers value and performance along with upgradability.
Perfect laptop. So I had a fully upgraded Alienware M16 for about 3 months. Within those 3 months, I've had Dell replace the board twice and my issues still weren't resolved. To make a long story short, they did a full refund (thankfully) and after doing a lot of research and watching a ton of videos I decided to pull the trigger on the ROG STRIX G16 and I'm glad I did! I bought the I9 13980HX/RTX 4070/16GB ram and 1tb SSD. I upgraded it to 64gb of ram (yes it's compatible as you can see in the photo I posted) it's also compatible to run at 5200mhz instead of the slower 4800mhz. It also has a 2nd SSD slot so it has 2 of the crucial T500 2tb SSD's in it for a total of 4tb now. This laptop is fast and extremely solid and can run anything including games at high settings without a problem. I got the 165hz panel and I guess I was lucky because I don't have the infamous backlight bleed. It's vibrant, and very crisp. The keyboard is nice and highly customizable and nice and bright. It's not mechanical but still has a nice feel to it. The mouse pad is large and responsive. The speakers surprisingly sound really nice considering they're laptop speakers (I'm actually impressed) and as far as heat, it stays between 65-72 degrees under heavy load so I couldn't be happier about that! I love this laptop and it puts other "high quality" systems to shame! I really don't have any cons about it as of now. If something comes up, I'll come back and update my review but as of now, I'd definitely recommend buying it if you're in the market! I can't stress that enough! It's a beast and I love it!
Impressive overall, but there are a few short comings. For a laptop, this is extremely impressive. The i9 12900H can outperform my previous desktop pretty easily and the RTX 3070 TI can handle most 2k gaming without struggling. This laptop comes with performance tuning and RGB adjustment right out of the box. The keyboard is nice, I personally don't like the number pad and had to disable that function because it's just to easily activated, having the number pad to a keybind instead would have been perfect though. Additionally, only16gbs of RAM and 1tb of storage in a $2000+ laptop is kind of underwhelming and 32gbs RAM and a 2tb drive for the OS would have been more ideal, but at least they are fully upgradable with and have an extra m.2 slot available assuming you are willing to open up this thing.I am personally not bothered by the lack of webcam because my phone's camera is more than good enough to use instead. The included power brick isn't very small or light, but don't see how they could easily make it smaller considering the power this machine requires.Only 4 USB connections total is also unfortunate and that's including the tb4 and the displayport capable 3.2 on the back. To make matters worse, there's also no native displayport, so unless your monitor has an HDMI 2.0 port, you won't get full use out of it. The tb4 is very handy though and if you are willing to get a tb4 splitter/hub it can add a lot of the ports that are otherwise absent, but all of the decent ones I have found all are more than $100 dollars and require external power just to operate as far as I know.As far as performance goes though, this thing won't disappoint, the fan noise is also much more reasonable than I expected. Of course it's not going to be quiet under higher loads, but it gets quite reasonable performance even when it's optimized for more quiet operation. I got unlucky and my particular unit unfortunately has some coil wine when under load that is particularly annoying to me, but that's most likely just due to bad luck rather than a problem with every laptop.Quick Edit: The coil wine went away after a few days of running the laptop.I mostly got display port alt mode to function through the USB 3.2 the display is 2k 165hz and it runs at that speed with no added latency (the reason why I say almost is that I can't get the Nvidia control panel to detect the display, but it's there in windows settings).I also upgraded the RAM to a 32Gb kit of Kingston fury 4800mhz cl38, the new RAM makes the laptop even faster in games that are affected by RAM speed I would recommend this upgrade if you can afford it, a Kingston 2tb pcie gen 4 ssd is also on the way.
By far the coolest laptop I ever have. The RGB visual effect is awsome and it is perfect for playing game. The design of keystone and numerical keypad is intersting as well. PS: The review is written for a warranty extension from ASUS.

good for gaming. excellent laptop. i play WOT with ultra settings. Good cooling system.
Probably the best value for a laptop at this price on Amazon. I’ve only owned this product for a day, if anything changes I’ll update this review. So far my initial experience with this laptop has been positive overall with a few caveats. The packing it came in was IMO amateur, the box for the laptop arrived in a larger box with no surrounding package, so I’m sure the laptop box was just rattling around the larger box the entire time. Luckily though the laptop itself arrived in perfect condition. The screen is a decent ISP, it’s lacking some nicer features like OLED or HDR but it is 17.3 inches, 1440p and 165hz and as I said it looks pretty good. The keyboard is for the most part great, has a nice and satisfying mechanical click, I like the RGB options as well. the only two issues for me are the power button being a key on the keyboard which could lead to some accidental shut downs and also a lack of a number pad, however I never used numpads so it doesn’t bother me. The trackpad has been good so far, responsive and accurate and clicking feels good. The lid/screen is a bit wobbly but not too bad. The chassis and overall designs for the laptop is great imo, I can turn off the RGB keyboard and it looks like a proper laptop I wouldn’t be embarrassed to bring to work, it doesn’t have any of the flashy MSI/Alienware “l33t gamer” aesthetic at all. Battery life so far has been meh, however I haven’t fiddled with the settings very much so I can’t give a very accurate assessment as to how it holds a charge. As for the system specs, they’re great. The store page for this product is wrong by the way, it says multiple times that it only has a 256gb SSD and even says it uses integrated graphics somewhere. This is incorrect, it has a 512gb SSD and a full powered 3070ti laptop edition. I’ve stress-tested a couple games and it runs them all marvelously. I got 130 FPS on MGS V the Phantom Pain at 1440p and ultra settings. This laptop handled the just-released game Atomic Heart very well, I was getting 90-100 FPS at 1440p, DLSS quality and ultra settings. With the current discount this laptop has, I think $1500 for it is very fair and one of the best gaming laptop deals on Amazon.
Beautifully made and great quality. What an amazing laptop, everything is perfect, great screen quality, very good speakers and good quality feel and finish
. Does not charge the battery. No game runs (fps drop until the application closes, just open the game)
Fantastic gaming laptop for the price, yes I will be oomphing it up a little but you definitely get good value. Fell in love with Omens a few years back and this model does not disappoint. Runs Borderlands 3 and Back 4 Blood with no issues, and works equally well with In Design and photoshop.

Runs Amazing. This computer is used mostly for gaming - some light facebooking on the side lol - it handles everything you can throw at it.
Great 4 gaming. Really good laptop for gaming, I run Microsoft flight simulator 2020 on it with no problems, would highly recommend from gaming.
Great laptop, awesome seller. Everything works perfect. It got here a day earlier than expected, and the performance is better than I thought it would be. The seller did an amazing job at upgrading the components, and it was exactly as advertised. FPS stays high, and I have had no thermal issues.
Aside from the AI Noise Cancellation, it's fine. I wouldn't exactly pit it as worth the price, but the specs do the job. Mic test with noise cancellation proves to be really bad, so you're better off with something like Nvidia Broadcast or just getting a normal microphone like a Fifine or a yeti,; a gaming headset like a Sennheiser or Hyperx; or even just normal headsets like Koss or Bose. It'll run a ton of games. Wouldn't turn on Raytracing. Feels good, feels sleek. That's all I got.
Buyer BEWARE. This product came with a non-factory RAM. The screen went black just a few weeks after purchase. I shipped it to the seller for a repair and it was sent back in the same condition. I will now have to go through Amazon to remedy this situation and am requesting a full refund from the seller
A much needed change. I had my previous gaming laptop a lil too long you might say. The performance rivals my desktop build but with a much smaller package. It is thin and light weight and currently much cheaper than through other sellers. It does come with Windows 11 which is a bit of a bummer but with a few tweaks most of the issues are solved. It handles Rust like a champ and will be playing a few other games soon on it as well.

My new favorite electronic device. Saw so many video reviews on Youtube before buying; the main gripes were the screen isn't bright enough, and the fans are too loud.Reports of <400 nits brightness are WRONG. This unit is rated at and delivers 600 nits, with 500 nits being the industry average, its above. There is (was) a bug with MSI True Color washing out the HDR, but there is (was) a fix that is well documented by MSI. I fixed mine in minutes. HDR content is awesome and dynamic, and the OLED screen is just intoxicating. You won't want to look at an LED screen again. To address the fan loudness issue, unless you are playing a AAA game with ultra settings, this will not be an issue. Chances are you will have an external sound source or headphones, so it won't matter anyway.Leading into this: The only small gripe I have with this laptop is that the built in speakers are not very loud at all. They are usable and sound fine, but you will want to get your sound from somewhere else when it is convenient.Otherwise, this thing crushes games and is a great machine all around, and I cannot say enough how amazing the 120Hz OLED screen is for gaming. It is so smooth. I don't want to play at 60Hz ever again!Without going to the super-expensive range of laptop out there, this one is a deal for under $2500. Buy it, you deserve it!
Powerful laptop with the best screen (240hz OLED 1ms) for gaming. I purchased the GE67 HX with the OLED panel back in early December 2022 but I wanted to use it for at least two months before writing my review. I'm happy to say the laptop has been solid from the start. It's especially great for gaming, given the OLED panel's 240hz refresh rate and super low response times. I bought the MSI to replace my 2019 Razer Blade 15, also with an OLED panel but with slower refresh rate because 2019. I went with MSI this time because it was a good deal and also I wanted a thicker laptop with more room for cooling. Sure the fans get loud during gaming but the performance is absolutely top notch in fast fps games and this MSI averages temps that are quite a bit cooler on average (I monitor these with Throttlestop and Afterburner) than my 2019 super thin Razer Blade 15. I use both on a laptop stands while gaming for the best airflow. If the fans are too loud for you, MSI also allows you to set custom fan profiles in MSI center so you can adjust based on your preferences. Overall this MSI is a solid choice for the gamer or person who wants a portable workstation PC.
It’s a gaming beast. It games over 100 fps in most games. The mux switch keeps the keyboard super cool. It’s a pain to set up but that’s the trade off with a fully customizable system. I have both the ram and gpu over clocked 50hz and runs as smooth as butter. The keyboard and the mystic light looks great. I like the keyboard and it’s big font and buttons even if the travel is short and mouse pad is great if you speed up the in mouse settings. If your thinking for college or travel, the brick it comes with is a bit ridiculous and is definitely a pain to lug around. That is the biggest minus besides the battery but no 12 gen intel machine seems to be great at battery life. The screen is smooth as butter and I play Halo at 150fps avg. I hadn’t played in years and I keep smoking people,!so with this setup, you got no excuse but to get gud.
My 2017 Alienware 13 R3 was better than this expensive laptop. MSI OLED not as clear and stunning. 1) Reviews claim this is a glossy and stunning OLED. I guess they never owned an Alienware 13 R3. This MSI is a semi-gloss screen. The Alienware from 2017 has a much more clear and glossy OLED. Noticeably better picture on the Alienware OLED over the MSI OLED.2) I thought the laptop was new when I bought it but it was USED and nearly 2 grand. It was in OK shape but missing all the instructions and laptop sleeve3) I thought this OLED was touchscreen like my 2017 Alienware. It is not touchscreen. Who buys a laptop anymore that is not a touchscreen. Once you have it you can't go back4) I like to turn my keyboard LEDs all white which works on my Alienware but try to do this on MSI and they look terrible pink on many keys...sadness5) After using a 13 inch Alienware for last 6 years I can say that the 15 inch is too big. I find myself moving my head to read across the screen. Like the front row of a movie theater.6) The sound on my Alienware 13 blows away the sound of this MSI OLED. Really MSI?...sadness7) My 2017 Alienware has a graphics amplifier eGPU that I put a 4070 desktop card in. I love this as it makes the laptop super cool and quiet. You can hook an eGPU to the MSI through thunderbolt but it does not get the performance of a cable that connects direct to PCI because it does not have as many lanes. My Alienware with the external graphics amp and NEW 4070 card installed blew away the MSI with 3070ti.8) The driver support of MSI is literally childish compared to what you get with a Dell Alienware.9) The MSI had the OLED issue that needed a driver fix. I read about it and followed the procedure which did work but you would think by now all units would ship with this issue fixed.10) The keyboard was inferior to Alienware and clicking the trackpad sucked compared to my 13 R3 and there were no designated buttons.Basically, I found out that my 7 year old Alienware 13 R3 OLED was way more superior in too many ways that mattered. yes... the MSI was fast but my Alienware did everything better for everything else and I wasn't hurting for speed. I will wait and see where things are at in 2025 when windows 10 is no longer supported and then maybe get a new laptop at that time or see if Microsoft Windows 11 ever support gen 8 CPU's.Now for things I liked about this laptop... ok I'm done.... Ohhh Here's one. I won't ever buy a laptop that doesn't have the extended back end as in the Alienware (who started this idea). It makes the laptop so much easy to carry with one hand open while you walk around with it. Also, I like the ports out the back as both these machines have. Perhaps I will try an Asus studio laptop with OLED but why doesn't everyone get we want 2K screens not 3K or 4K OLED screens?Amazing how a 7 year old laptop was still done better than the 2022-2023 laptops.Kudos to Amazon for letting me return it. I never return anything to Amazon but this was just way too expensive to be living with an inferior USED product and if it was new it was overpriced for how it compared to a 7 year old laptop. God I really appreciate my Alienware after using the MSI for a week. Those youtube reviewers better pick up the 13 R3 from 7 years ago and then tell me who has the stunning OLED. And the MSI is not even a touchscreen! Sheesh
Got it for the good specs and high rating for thermals. This thing is a beast. I want to give it 5 stars but it is loud and still gets really hot sometimes. The software to tune the fan seems a bit "off" because sometimes it is blasting cool air out of it at top speed. My settings are when it is really hot to blast the fan and slowly lower the fan speed as it cools. It shouldn't be blasting the fan and blowing cold air for minutes on end. Anyways this is a minor nitpick of an otherwise beastly machine and I am totally happy I bought it.

Quality product! Satisfied after 6 months of ownership. Reviewing the RTX 3070 / i7-11800H / 16GB RAM / 1TB SSD model after about 6 months, purchased for roughly $1200USD.Fantastic value for the specs. Handles pretty much any game I throw at it without issue, with the performance you would expect from the given specs. As with any gaming laptop, the fans can get loud when working hard, so monitor the temperatures closely and consider wearing headphones. After 6 months, I have had no significant issues playing games or running typical software, and the temperatures are acceptable when under load.As other reviews have mentioned, the included Aorus Control Center software can be buggy. I haven't had any catastrophic issues, but it sometimes changes my fan or keyboard settings at random, especially when unplugging or plugging in the charger. You can probably remove it if you have issues, but mine have not been severe enough to warrant it.Very satisfied with the purchase so far. My only issue with the hardware is that the webcam is bottom mounted and of a poor quality; I would recommend using an aftermarket webcam if this is something you intend to use often.
Amazing Power and Cool Temps. This product is everything I wanted. Fast Screen, amazing specs, low price, the whole package. I was coming from a 1660 Ti Laptop a few years old, and I can tell this laptop is just another beast. The cooling on the laptop is pretty top notch, keeps CPU and GPU temps way down. One slight dislike is the AORUS Control Center software, its okay, not great, but not terrible. There lacks some ability to manually control certain aspects, and the AI part likes to switch modes pretty frequently. There also lacks some customization in the RGB keyboard. Other than the software dislikes, the rest of the laptop is fantastic. Great hinge design with minimal screen shake and plenty of I/O to be able to plug any accessory into it. I mainly use it to play games, and it just demolishes every title I throw at it. First time Gigabyte and AORUS buyer, will be back for more to come!
No MUX. I wanted so badly to give this 5 stars but it has no MUX switch! I don't know how you miss something so important on your flagship laptop when your lower end models have it, but it's a huge oversight by Gigabyte.I love the feel of the mechanical keyboard, the RGB is nice and bright, although it seems to constantly change back to the default RGB profile causing you to have to go back into the app to change it back to what you had it set to. But overall the keyboard is just an absolute pleasure to type with and game on. My End key wasn't quite seated all the way in, but one firm press and it was good to go. The keyboard isn't overly loud like don't mechanical keyboards, but it's by far my favorite part of this laptop. The 3080 in it is actually very capable even though it's only 105w when boosted. I've not run into any issues with any games I've played and since it's only a 1080p display you'll always be above 60fps in any game where fps matters, and with it being a lower watt GPU that definitely attributes to this laptop always feeling as cool as it does. The case feels very nice and sturdy. I'm a truck driver and it feels extremely durable in such an environment. It doesn't get hot at all really, but the fans are rather loud under load. Not an issue for me as if I'm playing something that taxes the system that hard, I'm using a headset anyway. But the feel and texture of this metal they used on the case feels fantastic to me and just makes it feel like a more upscale laptop. The battery life is, well, it's a gaming laptop. You won't be using this thing on battery power except in a pinch. But if you do find yourself needing to, there is a battery saver mode that I've gotten 3 easy hours out of watching movies on a flight, but if you're planning on gaming on battery power for whatever reason, there are better options. That's not what this device is suited toThe screen quality is good. Not great but good. Colors are decent, and there's several different color temp profiles so you can customize it somewhat, and you can calibrate it if needed but mine was fine out of the box. The big issue with the screen is the response time. At higher refresh rates you will see some ghosting I've noticed, as is the price you pay with an IPS monitor. It's not bad, but coming from my previous laptop is definitely noticeable and something to keep in mind. I've not noticed any backlight bleed which is really impressive for an IPS monitor.Overall, for the price I paid, ($2149) it's a fantastic value for the money, except for that ONE THING... No MUX switch. An absolutely inexcusable oversight in 2022 on a flagship gaming laptop, and the one thing holding it back from a 5 star rating.
