OnePlus 6T In-Depth Review: How much do you have in camera, processor, software and battery?

OnePlus is known for giving new innovative features in its smartphones. The company has launched the exclusive McLaren Edition of the OnePlus 6T smartphone with 10 GB RAM this week. In the regular variant of OnePlus, there are 128 GB inbuilt storage options with 6 GB RAM / 8GB RAM. We had a review of the OnePlus 6T a few days ago, and today we will do an in-depth review of OnePlus 6T.

We have been using 8GB RAM and 128 GB storage variants of the OnePlus 6T for a long time. During the use we have tested in-display fingerprint sensor, camera, processor and battery capacity in the phone. Let’s know what features and drawbacks are there in Upgraded Variant OnePlus 6T of OnePlus 6. Know this OnePlus smartphone is worth buying?

Design:

The OnePlus 6T has a great design and it looks premium to see. Compared to previous Oneplus 6, this time the Notch given on the display has become smaller. On display, this is found in the Notch Waterdrop style, inside which there is a camera sensor. Notification LED not found in the phone due to the Waterdrop Notch display. In order to offset this, the phone has an ambient display feature which turns the OLED display to show the notification. Compared to OnePlus 6, the screen given in the new OnePlus 6T is large and it has an empty pin down. The phone is thin on the four sides while the edges are very good, due to which it is convenient to hold it in hand.

OnePlus has already given a screen protector in the phone and it also has fingerprints too early. The most special feature of the phone is the in-display fingerprint sensor. The company says that the technology was being worked on for the last one year. In addition to the notification LED, 3.5mm audio jacks have also been removed from the phone. The rear camera in the phone is slightly shiny. Power and volume buttons, alert slider and dual nano-SIM tray are the same as before. Overall, OnePlus 6T is a smartly-built smartphone. We had a mirror black unit review and it looks very beautiful to look at, although fingerprints fall on the rear.

Specifications:

Talk about SPECIFICATIONS There has not been much change in the new OnePlus 6T. The phone has an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor running on 2.8 GHz. The handset has Adreno 630 graphics. The base variant has 128 GB inbuilt storage and 6 GB RAM. 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB inbuilt storage has been provided in top-end variants. The handset has a 6.2-inch screen whose resolution is 1080×2340 pixels. The handset has a 3700mAh battery with a higher capacity. But the new oneplus comes with 6T 185 grams of weight while the weight of oneplus 6 was 177 grams.

Speaking of camera hardware, the OnePlus 6T is the only camera setup with the OnePlus 6. For connectivity, the phone has features such as Dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 AC, Bluetooth 5, NFC, GPS and GLONASS with VOLTE. Apart from this, Hall sensor, gyroscope, e-compass, accelerometer, proximity sensor and ambient light sensors have been given. Corning Gorilla Glass 6 has been provided for safety.

OnePlus has given dash charging technology for fast charging in the phone. The charger in the box comes with the Dash Charge logo. In addition, a plastic case with the phone in the box and the phone already receives the screen protector. A new thing with the phone is USB Type-C to 3.5mm Dongl. This smartphone of OnePlus runs on the Oxygen OS 9 UI of Android 9.0 Pie Based OnePlus. OnePlus has made many customizations in OxygenOS, including reading mode, gesture shortcuts and performance tweaks. There are also Android navigation gadgets in the phone.

With the phone’s ambient display, you can see a clock and a custom message in addition to the notification on the screen. Apart from this, two apps can be run simultaneously in the phone simultaneously via parallel apps. Night mode is a blue light filter, apart from this, you can choose the color and theme of your choice. The game mode given in the phone has been improved. There is a new smart boost feature through which the phones’ apps remain in the RAM so that they can load faster.

Camera:

Where other companies are giving 3 or 4 rear cameras in their smartphones, OnePlus is lagging behind in this case. The company has also set up the same camera with the previous oneplus 6 in the new onePlus 6T.

Dual rear camera setup has been given in OnePlus 6T. There is a 20-megapixel Sony IMX376K secondary sensor with the 16-megapixel primary Sony IMX519 sensor with the aperture F / 1.7 and the aperture F / 1.7. For amateurs of Selfie, the phone has a 16 megapixel sony IMX371 sensor, which is equipped with aperture F / 2.0.

First of all, talk about the new Night Mode of the phone. Especially in the night, this mode given for Photography is captured up to 10 frames in 2 seconds. After this, the picture comes with processing of noise control and better quality. Processing takes a few seconds, i.e. you have to wait in Night mode to take another picture. We used the night mode of the phone in different situations, and every time there was a different quality in the pictures. Sometimes in night mode, the object becomes slightly blurred.

The photos taken from the phone in the light of day come in handy. The pictures are full of detailing and color. The camera works well all the time and there is no problem in it. Photos taken in portrait mode are also good and background is blurred properly.

Photos taken without night mode in the night often come with noisy and lack of detailing. To get a good result from the phone, the hand has to be kept stable and the need for an ambient light is needed. The video recording in the phone is possible 4 and the video we recorded, we got great results in the light of daylight. Video quality is better in daylight than night.

Talk to the front camera so we liked photos taken from the front camera in daylight. Self camera also performs well in indoor.

Performance:

Talk about the general performance, so the phone works better. Apps and games in the phone are loaded fast with the flagship Snapdragon 845 processor and we have never seen a problem hanging in the phone. We had 8 GB RAM and 128 GB inbuilt storage variant and we did not have any complaints from its performance. The phone is hot during the camera use and charging, however, there is no problem with it.

Talk about the in-display fingerprint sensor, it is not like the standard fingerprint sensor given in the rear or front. It is often difficult to unlock the phone during our use. To activate the sensor, first it has to be ON. Many times the fingerprint sensor responds longer when touching the finger. Sometimes it works only if the finger is touched on different places on the sensor.

If you prefer a beautiful looking phone, you will enjoy the clean back of the phone. But talking about performance, we did not like the in-display fingerprint sensor. The phone also has face recognition mode which works quite well. The phone’s screen is shiny and the colors also look good. We enjoyed watching the video on the big display of the phone. Because of the curved edges and the knock, the contact disappears at times. The speaker given in the phone provides fast and clear sound. Heavy graphics games such as Asphalt 9: Legends also walk properly, but it gets slightly hot. Game mode works here There is no problem with HD video streaming in the phone.

Battery:
OnePlus 6T is one of the key features of its battery life. It does not end up even for a long time playing the game, running the camera and running the phone for the entire day. Dash Charge, now called Fast Charge, works very well. Within 10 minutes the battery is charged from 0 to 17 percent. OnePlus is continuously releasing software updates in OnePlus 6T, through which the phone is expected to make many improvements.

Our verdict
There is some flaw in the OnePlus 6T and there are some drawbacks too. The phone’s specialty is Waterdrop, Nokia Display, In-Display Fingerprint Sensor. Apart from this, nothing is much newer than the OnePlus 6 in the phone. Performance of OnePlus 6T is better, but it can not be called a completely new upgrade model.

OnePlus 6T has been launched in the last ones plus price 6. OnePlus has always been launching its new Generation handsets with increased prices. The base model costs Rs 37,999. There will be a cost of Rs. 41,999 for 2GB RAM, 8 GB RAM variant. OnePlus 6T is getting tough competition from the Asus Zenfone 5 Z and Poko F1 in the market. Both of these phones have Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processors but the price oneplus is much less than 6T. But the OnePlus 6T is a great deal compared to the Samsung Galaxy Series, the Pixel 3 series. If you want a beautiful looking flagship device in affordable prices then OnePlus 6T is for you.
