China’s smart phone company Xiaomi has released an Android 9 pie update for its two popular smartphone Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro. With the latest updates, both phones were seen on the benchmark listing website GCB. Not only that, according to the listing, the Redmi Note 5 Pro Snapdragon 660 will run on the SoC processor.
Let’s say that both the smartphones launched earlier this year with the Android version 7.1.2 non-operating operating system. On one side where the Redmi Note runs on 5 Qualcomm Snapdragon 625, the Snapdragon 636 processor has been given in Note 5 Pro.
An Android 8.0 Oro update was released for the Redmi Note 5 Pro in May. In August, Redmi Note 5 started receiving this update. If this new update comes on these smartphones, then it will be the second largest update for the Redmi 5 series.
