Messaging app WhatsApp is working on a number of new features, including fingerprint lock and dark mode etc. and will be added to updates soon. Before finger print lock and dark mode, WhatsApp has rolled out the picture-in-picture feature to the desktop app. It has already been rolled out for Android and iOS app users. With this help, you can watch videos of YouTube or other platforms on the WhatsApp app in the app itself.
After the PIP feature has arrived on the WhatsApp web, desktop users can also watch the shared videos while reading the rest chats or using something else as well as simultaneously. According to the WABetaInfo report, the PIP or Picture-In-Picture feature is being rolled out on version 0.3.2014. Most WhatsApp users may have to wait for this now. The PIP feature supports uploading videos to different video hosting sites with different formats. If this feature is not working then clear your browser’s cache. - You can send / receive a link to any YouTube link or any other video platform to use Picture-In-Picture feature on Whatsapp.
- After the paste in the link chat window it will come as a thumbnail, then send it. As soon as the receiver clicks on it, the video will start playing in the corner of the screen and the new tab will not open.
- Users will be able to close this window by clicking on or swiping. The video will continue and users will also be able to check remaining chat windows.
