Very pleased so far. So far we've been in love with this TV. This was kind of a family splurge in response to extra money coming in but honestly it cost less than the 50" I bought years ago, shhh. Its huge taking up majority of a wall (in a good way) but light enough me and my 5' wife could lift it to the mount without too much effort. Read the instructions upon opening though. The box is a genius design wasted as we opened it like a book (in our defense it practically opened it self at barest pull on a seam). The brightness and the picture have been great with a certain glare that plagued our old tv not being a problem. The sound is so good that its rarely turned on. We had an existing LG soundbar and its own remote which no one bothers to keep up with so I stuck it in a drawer and haven't been bothered to try and get it controlled some other way. On the rare occasion we sit down for a spectacle movie I may turn it on for more sub woofer bass but it mostly adds some depth. The software brings a tear to my eye, as a software developer watching the increasing software based world we live in becoming commoditized garbage that works properly so little that people have become used to it even in critical situations, in contrast this TV has been a dream. Responsive not buggy, but also thoughtfully engineered and ergonomically design for great user experiences. I chose it specifically for google tv because I trust no company to have microphones and internet connectivity in home without control (no you don't have any even if they say you do and thats been proven repeatedly) but my 8% trust in google is higher than my 0% trust in Alexa. Plus I have a pixel phone so I can at least limit the number of companies listening to every word. Somehow Amazon still displays listings for things I mention to my wife in person when the microphone is supposedly disabled but I digress. We cut the cord over 5 years ago and it mostly means navigating simple ui to select apps whether on the TV itself or roku etc... This is streaming service management done right making it feel almost like these are channels just playing their whole catalog all the time. At Christmas its category on holiday movies pretty much presented every available holiday movie we could find with deep searching in the apps themselves. A few years ago we used an old laptop for playing PC games on the family TV but it was in the way and the fam rarely did anything with it if I wasn't setting it up. I saw a steam app in the app store and installed it... then began playing all but the most graphically intense with an xbox controller bluetooth paired to the TV directly. The ones it can't play are not even the TV's fault its the network unable to handle the latency even with ethernet. No idea how successful using wireless would be but I imagine all the family and party games would be ok. Which brings me to the one and only con I can even reach for and it is a reach.Cons:Since phone apps usually require you to be on the same wifi as the device, even though the device is on ethernet on the same network, it won't work with wifi turned off.The two biggest headaches aren't even sony's fault entirely (maybe not at all) since they are likely caused by the apps. With the the above even when wifi is on some apps seem to have trouble working properly with it mostly using ethernet. Google apps seems to work fine but I doubt it maintains a stable wifi connection when may be used for 1 second twice a day at best. The other issue is misbehaving apps (looking at you steam when I let my PC go to sleep you won't let go of control while presenting a black screen). But in an seemingly obvious but apparently genius stroke, some buttons like power, settings, input and usually home work even when the thing appears locked up so I can hit settings go to apps and force stop the app in about 6 seconds. Our roku in similar situations may need the power cord yanked. The other change is in the previously unused, unwanted and seemingly redundant service of Stadia. Streaming games has latency issues and isn't ready for primetime, but my xbox controller is already paired and I got months of free trial due to pixel phone and youtube music accounts I should fire it up out of boredom and mild curiosity right? Its not like I'm going to pay for another service, right? Especially for games when it can't do VR and many of the games I play don't work well for streaming due to latency so what would be the point... its just curiosity while its free... crap.
I've had for two years. Amazing TV for the price. In the two years I've owned this TV, I absolutely love it. Great blacks, outstanding color accuracy as always from Sony, 120 Hz native refresh rate, VRR, optional Dolby Vision, HDMI eARC, and optical audio output are just some of the highlights. It only gets up 575 nits peak brightness, but you wouldn't know that from looking at it in HDR. I also love that this TV is running Google TV, as I find to be far easier to navigate than Android TV(in many ways it's better than Android TV, though still based on it). I have two minor complaints with this TV. First, while you have 4 HDMI ports, one 2 of them are HDMI 2.1 48 Gbps, and one of them is the eARC port(invest in a HDMI switch). I would prefer if all ports on the TV were HDMI 2.1 48 Gbps. There's no reason not to as they would be fully backwards compatible anyways, and it make it easier to connect a gaming PC, Xbox Series X, and PS5 to same TV. With this TV I need an HDMI switch to actually do that. Second problem I have is that you cannot do Dolby Vision and 4K 120 Hz VRR at the same time. It has to either be 4K 60 Hz Dolby Vision or 4K 120 Hz VRR. Personally I tend to keep it in 4K 120 Hz VRR, as both 120 Hz and VRR are far more beneficial to gamers by reducing input lag and screen tearing. Not the biggest deal breakers, just things to be aware of. It still upscales low resolution content like 480i and 480p PS2 games quite well(I would know because I used to use PS2 and OSSC with it), and 1080p and above looks amazing on this thing. Other nice features are ones that carried over other Sony Smart TV's, such as HDMI CEC, HDMI eARC(older ones had ARC, but it's functionally almost exactly the same), USB ports, headphone jack, and Bluetooth Audio. I will note that eARC and ARC will almost always include some kind of HDMI CEC functionality, mainly volume control and powering on and off with the TV. Overall this TV is amazing for what it is, and I would recommend buying it.
BEST 4K IN 85'' CLASS in the world. i have not found anything major about this set to dislike. I looked at LG and Samsung in the same class and a couple hundred less and I am so glad I trusted gut and experience. Sony is all you have to say. I have the Sony Multi ch A/V Model- STR DH590 which is capable of E- arc function allowing all stereo functions to be controlled from ONE TV REMOTE . GOTTA LOVE SONY. I DONT need the remote for the receiver at all. the remote for the tv does it all very smoothly. Google TV seems to play nice with Apple for different apps and cool things like casting from phone or lap/tablet to it. no other devices needed and More than one way to cast also. Bluetooth 4.0 was used in this model which was outdated when I purchased! If there is one thing I disagreed about with it that would be it. Hear Me SONY. I have had it now for nearly a year and in the beginning the programming would freeze up and a restart was needed and scarily this happened too often. But after it had a few Updates that problem went away. The Picture Resolution is scary 4K GREAT. THE Setting capabilities for picture quality are numerous and refined (take the time to go thru them all ) If not sure then choose Auto.120 hz refresh rate and a truly dynamic 4k res and Android Navigation/compatability make it a very nice big screen For under 2K.
This TV is definitely top tier when it comes to quality ,color and speed This TV is extremely fast and has a beautiful 4K120 diplay that comes with Imax enhanced, Dolby atmos, Dolby vision, and full 4K UHD. It also has this amazing acoustic calibration which makes sure that the sound gets to your ears at the right time while content is being played on the screen. The controller is also extremely comfortable and has a nice grip to it which stands out from other Tv's I have owned in the past. It also comes with Google TV which is extremely fast and has really good recommendation choices for movies that may interest you or TV shows that you might wanna binge. The picture quality and color accuracy out of the is outstanding and is by far the best out of the box experience that you can get for this price. If you're looking for a budget friendly high quality luxurious TV to watch a lot of intense movies with extremely accurate colors and amazing sound quality I would highly recommend purchasing this tv immediately because it will not let you down.10/10
Google TV interface is great. Sound is ok. Remote is from the 90s (buttons only). TV gets very bright but reflects a LOT compared to my 15 year old Toshiba so NOT recommended for sunny rooms. TV has many modern features such as VRR, HDR and up to 120hz refresh rate with AMD freesync or G-sync, which however doesn't seem to be working and there is no way how to set the picture to HDR10 4K 120Hz on a PC (I haven't tried consoles). For PC gaming 120 Hz at 1080p is good enough but setting the resolution higher than that at 120 Hz makes the TV crash and reboot. I am using it for my gaming PC as a monitor, it does a good job in the Gaming mode. In Cinema mode I like you can turn off motion smoothing or turn it all the way up for that weird super smooth soap opera look (which I happen to like) or anything in between. It's nice that with the right settings you can get this TV to display the picture quality you want from it as there are a ton of settings.
The media could not be loaded.  i bought this tv as an upgrade for my xbox series, it has everything i was looking for in a 4k smart tv, 120hz refresh rate, hdr ultra hdEasy to set up with my Google account, delivery on time, well packaged, instructions that take you step by step for assembly and placement.the picture and sound quality exceeds my expectations.something that I think can help those who buy this tv is the HDMI option (eARC / ARC) is perfect for connecting a home theater.I recommend reading the instructions carefully to get the most out of this tv.I am very satisfied with my purchase, I highly recommend it
I really like the tv. The main thing I wanted to say was that I had read that if you watch the tv head on, the picture is good but if you have seating all around it for many viewers the picture gets worse from side views. But I don’t have that issue so I really like the tv. The sound is great and the remote seems to be made sturdy.
I ordered this television for my dear 91 year old friend and she is just thrilled. With TV a major part of her world, she needed a new one so I tried to get her the best as I also have a SONY TV. She has been raving about her new TV for two days. I could not be happier for her.

So Far, So Good. My previous TV died and I was sad. It was a Sharp Aquos that I'd had several years but the picture was still outstanding. For its time this TV was ahead of its competition. You'd think things would last forever like they used to but in todays throw away world its toss it in the dumpster and buy new. This is written two weeks into the LG.Not that anyone cares, but I tend to research TV purchases to death. My first big screen I researched and read for five years before I purchased a Pioneer Elite 610 rear projection TV. It was great and when it died I was sad then too. The Sharp took its place and lived up to my expectations.Since I'm a TV-aholic I needed a replacement when the Sharp died. My normal research was shortened a bit and from what I'd read from many sources, the LG seemed to fit my needs. Since we were on the downward phase of Covid (I hope) the US was seeing delivery issues and goods were sometimes in short supply. Local retailers did not have this TV in stock or it was promised within a couple weeks, maybe. So I decided to take a chance on buying through Amazon. It came within four days to my surprise.Delivery was done by Amazon and unpacking and setup was handled by them as well. I must say I was very pleased with the setup. It included bringing it into my home, unpacking, placing the base on the TV and placing it where I wanted. They checked to be sure the TV came on and then removed the packaging. Very professional.Reconnecting my surround system and video controller took me a while, lots of wires to sort out. Once connected to the internet, I stream now, and making some adjustments I was very pleased with the picture quality. There are many settings for video and you could even custom set color if that's your thing. Most people will find the settings supplied will suit their needs quite well. The sound from the LG speakers do amazingly well. I used it for several days with just these speakers and found them easy to hear voice. Since I'm older and listened to a lot of loud music when younger my hearing is not what it used to be. Kids today with their earbuds and headphones should really start to learn sign language now.The other evening I watched LOTR The Fellowship of the Ring. This was not from DVD but from a broadcast over streaming that I'd saved. I was blown away as was my wife by the detail. Especially in the dark scenes where detail can be lost in the shadows. Not on this TV. Subtle details on steps in the mines, details of the Orcs and clothing were all there. And nothing was washed out in the deep darks. Blacks were black, midtones were spot on and highlights of flames or the glint on a sword were all there. If you have 4K content I'm sure you'd be very happy. I'll be watching some of my old DVD's again and see if they have stood the test of time.I've read about people worrying about burn in since OLED's are supposed to be vulnerable to this. I can't imagine this happening unless you have a logo in the corner that doesn't go away. Still I feel you'd have to have it onscreen for hours before you'd see a problem. The TV does have an area in the menu called OLED care. It has something called Pixel Cleaning which is supposed to adjust each pixel to prevent burn in. Also a Screen Move function to move the screen a little at regular intervals for the same prevention. Do they work? Maybe but I'm not going to worry about it.The photo I've added really can't do justice to the actual picture quality but the reflection in the silver cup caught my eye. And speaking of reflections, this TV will show reflections from windows or lights. You can still watch the TV just fine but no TV will kill all reflections from light sources. The room I'm in has room darkening shades so problem solved.I'm sure over time I'll find more features to explore and will watch more 4K content to marvel over. For now I can recommend this TV for anyone that loves a spectacular picture. Is it pricey? Yes, but I've always felt you get what you pay for and I'm hoping this TV will last as long as the last one.
I love this display as a monitor. I bought this back in February 2022 and have had no issues with burn in or anything like that. I am VERY conscious of it, though, and am using this TV as a monitor. I do not snap windows to corners or split the screen in any way. I sit about 3-4 feet away from the display depending on my posture.Quick Pros / Cons:Pros:Amazing pixel response time and refresh rate (4k, 120hz)Black blacks, bright whites (used in a lighting-controlled basement)Amazing picture quality and colors-- no smearing or smudging, no ghosting or any of that bad LCD visual artifactingGreat audio if you have the settings set right (see cons)Great PPI for my distance from the screen (4k native, 100% scaling on Windows 11)-- Text is small yet crispCons:Awkward to move and I always worry about the thin top half. Always very careful when I move it.Big base, which I understand, but that means I can't push it further back on my 6ftx3ft desk.LG's garbage settings that keep forgetting themselves.-- Audio is always set to Game Optimizer, which absolutely kills the audio. Have to switch it to Standard every time I turn the TV on-- There is a Linus Tech Tips video on a workaround for this that makes the TV "sleep" or go into a low power mode instead of turning it off and on every time you are done with a session.Funny Con:Coming from a 1440p display, trying to run a 4k 120hz display on a 3080 doesn't work the best. This TV is making me really want a new graphics card.Overall, I love this and I can't imagine upgrading this any time soon (besides the software that I hope they fix via updates). I thought 48 inches would be too big for a monitor, as I was looking for a 40" to maybe 42" display, but it's perfect for 4k with no scaling. Big ole thumbs up LG!
Excellent TV. Sharp picture, excellent color, consistent high quality. Good value for the price.
Livré le lendemain de ma commande. Excellente qualité, je la recommande
Great picture and remote easy to use
After ordering i received a notice that my tv was refurbished and they sent me an extensive report. Up until then I didnt know it was a refurb but that made me more comfortable. The tv arrived in perfect condition. For gamers, especially xbox I highly recommend this tv. It can utilize every feature on the series x.
This is my first OLED tv and I must say I am very impressed with it. Picture quality is stunning and the tv itself seems well made. Movies look great in Dolby Vision and gaming is a joy to behold. Very happy with my purchase. Considered the newer LG C2 65" instead but it wasn't worth the extra 900.00 to me for the difference.
Shipped fast, was easy to set up, and a huge improvement over our previous Samsung non-oled. Video Games look so good! TV is in use an average amount as we are working full-time and feel the tv will last a long time. Sounds great too. Note, we have it on a console, not wall mounted. Overall, even better than expected!

Excellent products. There’s not much point in reviewing the LG65C1 it’s pretty much the best OLED on the market. The included wall mount from Walt’s TV on this itEm was equally exceptional. Hands down the easiest experience I’ve had mounting and leveling a large screen format TV mount, and it included all of the necessary hardware and clear instructions for nearly any scenario.
very happy. works great, seller was very helpful when I had shipping questions. One thing to know is that it is shipped freight and they have to call you to set up a time for delivery. The shipping company let me come and pick up after I missed the call. Perfect for the xbox series x video.
Tv is amazing. Picture is so clear. Tv is amazing! Picture is so clear
Quit Working After Three Months. Stopped working after three months. I reported it to the warranty division and was promised they would dispatch a repairman in three to five days. That was fifteen days ago. I’ve called twice more and received nothing but excuses. I’ll not buy anything from LG again. Never had problems with my Samsung or Toshiba products
Extreme caution. TV came defective, repeatedly shutoff on its own while watching it. Returned it and was denied a refund or any assistance from Amazon! Put me out 3 grand!!
TV is dead mere days after warranty, DO NOT BUY LG Products. My wife and I purchased our LG C1 65" OLED last February. Literally days after the 1 year warranty (which I might add is a pathetic amount of time for a nearly 2 thousand dollar TV) the TV is dead. It will no longer power on and either the display, the motherboard, or both for all I know are shot and need replacement.LG of course is not offering any help other than pointing me in the direction of the one local TV repair shop in my area. I've worked in IT for over 12 years, and have spent my entire career in technology heavy fields. I take good care of my electronics. The TV was never abused, left on overnight, it was properly cared for and kept clean, and I go to turn it on and it's just dead. The customer service (i use for lack of a better term) is so blatantly unacceptable from a company like LG that is turning Multi *TRILLION* Dollar revenues each year. Even the cheapest LCD sets i've bought from companies like Vizio easily trucked on for 7+ years with zero issue, but this "premium" Oled set just happens to die mere days after it's out of warranty.I don't even know what to say beyond this, I am so insulted and dumbfounded by this blatant disregard for customer satisfaction that I am doing something I never do and I'm writing this incredibly harsh review.Do not go through the same issues I did, absolutely do not buy from LG. Their products are not durable and their customer service will provide you with nothing but a "figure it out yourself" when they inevitably fail. Please look elsewhere for your OLED Tvs.
Excellent television. This television delivers everything it promises. Picture quality is excellent. The gaming mode shows off the full potential of the latest consoles. Overall very happy with this purchase.
Awesome TV. Love this TV. Picture quality is amazing. A Sound system definitely adds to the dynamic.

Excellent tv. I love this tv. Movies games. Bright crisp picture
Love this tv. We enjoy this tv the picture is clean and has a lot of depth. The remote is a little different then others I have had and takes some time to get used to. This is a good buy.
Beautiful Picture, but controls lack intuitiveness and ARC doesn't work with stereo amps. I really like the picture on this set. It's much brighter than my previous Sony VIO, which I also loved. I have plugged my PS4 into it and it automatically brings up some smart Gaming settings, which is nice. No noticeable lag, but the colors do appear differently from my usual gaming monitor. The only real thing that bothers me, OK two things:1. When you power it up, it takes a while for the menu UI to catch up. So, I'll be trying to change streaming services and it appears frozen for up to 10 seconds.2. Apparently, unless you're using a Samsung Sound Bar, the ARC HDMI plug doesn't not operate as an ARC should. I tried plugging my entertainment stereo system into the ARC and it will not work. Kept turning on the TV speakers instead. I've read online that it only really supports Samsung Sound Bars. That would all be OK except that now every time I turn on the TV, I get an alert that I don't have my sound system plugged into the ARC port and I have to clear the alert before I can do anything else. Very annoying. They need to fix this on an otherwise nearly perfect set.
A VERY REMARKABLE 85" SAMSUNG BIG SCREEN A+ *****. This was our second Samsung , we also have a 65" curved Samsung. (6 years old) Quality of these TVs are very remarkable. Worth all the extra money to upgrade to the QN85QN90AA 85 Inch Neo QLED 4K Smart TV. Samsung has always been a great investment for our home. We also added a great surround system & sound bar. Very satisfied with our purchase.
Great picture! Unit was packed and shipped with very serious packaging. Recreational TV, streaming movies, Blu-ray dvds. Lots of care for shipping ! Only issue so far, was one of the wall mount holes on the TV, was shallower. Had to use a shorter screw!
usb ports suck. tv is a good tv only problem both usb ports insert came out while takin out usb cable paid to much for this tv with poor quality ports
Blows away my previous 55". Incredible TV all around, especially coming from a 1080p 55 inch. With proper color calibration, colors noticeably pop more than any TV I've owned. Smart TV apps work well, no complaints there. Gaming - just as good. About to buy a second one to put in my home office for "work" purposes.
Bright picture, excellent. Watching movies great picture quality

Premium is better. I expected a lot . . . I was still surprised with this ! The first one we got was an Amazon special no financing deal and didn’t function. The second one is better than we expected. The picture is wow ! The smart part is actually easy to use and quite wonderful ! The sound, while not audiophile, is very very remarkable ! This is part of our cable cutting project and we are very happy not buying cable tv . I would not hesitate buying this tv again, if I could afford it that is. This tv replaced a 55” Bravia we purchased in 2010, that tv works as good as new and was given to someone who really appreciates it.WE ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS TV !Addendum: it’s been a month or so with this tv . . it’s totally captivating with a picture that’s very much like sitting in front of a window and sound (we live in a senior apartment complex with neighbors that complain, a low volume level with this tv achieves realistic and satisfying event) that is almost unbelievable !I have one wish . . I wish I could turn it on in the morning with one action directly to the local station (on Hulu) that we prefer.I have one concern . . our preferred (Hulu) station has a lip sync problem and it is the only source that has the problem.Looking for a totally captivating and mesmerizing experience . . this tv is it ! ! !Be careful . . . we found that watching this tv is actually better than getting out to reality 🤭Sincerely . . . a lot more could be said in favor of this device . . . it deserves all the ranting and raving I could produce . . . this IS the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow !Addendum 1/1/2023 - we went to the theatre, yesterday, to see the new avatar movie. The surround sound was bodacious, however, the picture and sound would have been more enjoyable at home with this Sony TV . . . it’s that impressive . . .Addendum 1/10/2023 - still enjoying wonderful ! It appears that Sony and Alexa have a strained relationship . . . Alexa can usually turn the Sony off but only occasionally can Alexa turn the Sony on . Trying to navigate to Hulu with Alexa is impossible . I love the Sony and the Alexa . . . I just wish they would communicate . All in all . . . if your looking for a better tv . . . nobody makes it !The last addendum 🤭 . . We have become hooked on a tv series from Netflix “Longmire”. The cinematography is never before beautifully realistic while the sound is not just captivating . . it’s seductive ! Before we installed this tv , I scoffed at the idea of “2 inch sub woofers”! Well . . . I’ve learned my lesson , this tv provides a stunning, if not mesmerizing , event . . . time after time !On parting . . . if Hulu would simplify “user accounts” bypassing the need to select a specific one EVERY TIME ! Alexa might be a better control device.A year in review . . . We would never go back! This TV has changed our lives! The overall impression is amazing and keeps pleasing. This TV has virtually replaced the movie theater! The picture is much better, the sound has all the impact without the ear/hearing damaging obnoxiously loud overkill of the theater. Control and navigating of features and program options is manageable . . . no complaint!Hulu is more than a suitable replacement for cable tv!Are you hesitant? So were we . . . with a year of this behind us . . . we are still surprised, pleased, captivated and, at times stunned even after a year!
WOW! What a world of a difference. Words cannot describe how glad I am with purchasing the Sony A90J TV. This is the first time I have purchased a tv this expensive and I didn't want to buy one that I would regret later on. From the moment I opened the box and set the TV, I have been completely satisfied. The picture quality is phenomenal, the sound quality is fantastic, and the user interface is extremely smooth.1. Picture: Picture quality is vivid and provides details that were missed or easily looked over when watching on an older tv. As a part of Sony's Master Series, all TVs are professionally calibrated prior to leaving the factory. This prevents the owner from wasting time trying to perfect the image quality. With the use of new computer processing, the TV has the ability to adjust itself according to the lighting atmosphere at the moment it is being viewed. OLED makes a world of difference when viewing content. Whites are whiter and blacks are deeper, without losing the ability to see everything else happening.2. Sound: The audio produced from this tv has the ability to provide the quality of sound in comparison to a 5.1 sound system. Previously I had a premium 3.1.2 sound bar w/ a subwoofer connected to my older TV and I thought it produced amazing sound. Once I heard the sound quality on this TV, there was no way I could replace it with my sound bar. With the computer programming, it has the capability of monitoring the sound in the room and adjusting it according to where you are sitting. I find myself having to turn down the volume when my kids are sleeping, so they aren't awoken by the action or suspenseful scenes in a movie.3. User Interface: I have to point first and foremost, the smoothness transition from app to app or when scrolling through different contents is far superb from all other TVs. I find myself hating when I am using my other TVs because of how sluggish they are. When setting up the TV to add all of the apps I have access to, I initially found myself feeling as if it was a little more complex than it truly is. After scrolling through, I was able to navigate effortlessly, without any complications.4. Casting: I have used Google's Chromecast Dongles in the past and they were always problematic with remaining connected. The casting feature on the TV works without any issues and remains stable throughout its connection. With over 2 weeks of use, I am impressed and happy with the purchase of the Sony A90J 55 Inch TV. I will periodically return and provide an update to the overall use. If you are on the fence about this TV, I recommend researching this TV among others within its class and then make your decision. If you are still interested in this TV, I can say without a doubt you will be satisfied with your purchase.
Great Price for Perfection. People, the Sony A90J borders on perfection. This is my third Sony TV I have purchased from Amazon and the fourth Sony TV I have owned. The first one I purchased from Amazon was a Bravia XBR HD in 2001. My in-laws currently have that TV and the picture still looks good. Yes, Sony TVs generally cost more than the other brands but it’s worth paying a premium price for a TV that has not only excellent picture quality and sound quality but also reliability and longevity. Many reviewers suggest using the custom setting for the picture mode, but in this mode through my eyes the colors look dull. I like the vivid mode, in this mode the colors are more vibrant and life like. For example, watching the Netflix movie “All Quiet On The Western Front” feels like I was standing there as a spectator. That’s how amazing the picture quality is and yes, the sound quality is also amazing too.You want another reason why you should purchase this TV? The price! Because this model is a 2021 the price has been heavily marked down by Amazon. In case your wondering, no, the TV was not manufactured in 2021 The year 2021 is when the model first became available. For example, my Sony A90J TV was manufactured in September, 2022.I say, if you can afford this TV go for it. You’ll be happy you did.
A truly great TV. Probably one of the best TVs on the market for this price range. It gives excellent color depth and range. I researched this one alot before buying it and I love it. The best features; image quality, smart TV functions, remote, and sound quality. The only draw back are that although it its bright for an OLED its not a great choice for a bright room, and there are only 3 HDMI connections, only one is the new earc kind.
Really expensive but it is a great TV. Ran the Youtube videos to detect 'dirty screen' issues and it passed with flying colours; set-up was a breeze, and it delivers a great picture without seeming to need professional calibration. It also seamlessly linked up to my other equipment. It does have one small issue though - it seems to have a pretty horrible file manager that is as slow as molasses when you try to access the contents of external hard drives plugged into it via the USB ports.Follow on note re USB connection and file manager. I contacted Sony re the problem and they thought that it was because the HD was not formatted for FAT32. THIS WAS NOT THE ISSUE! The problem seems to be that the default Media Player for the Smart TV (Google?Sony?) can not read my type of MP4 files. I installed another (free) Media Player app from the TV's App Store/Library and it was able to read and play my files without a problem.
Ready to go right out of the box, very little picture tweaking required. Switches from cable to streaming platform and back very quickly. One very small complaint: plugging into the headphone jack should not automatically disable the speakers.
This TV is fantastic. Image quality is superb. Great brightness and contrast. Come pretty calibrated out-of-the-box (use the Custom picture mode). It also sounds very very good for both movies and even music.Google TV is great and fast. Easy to setup.Overall, very very satisfied.
Expensive but worth it. Easy to set up and great picture and sound right out of the box.
Wanted to get a OLED for my new house and decided on the A90J. I know that LED can get brighter and still own a KS8000 but wanted to give OLED a go and no regrets. The A90J gets bright and stays that way in a room with plenty of sunlight!

Stunning picture quality. I purchased the 83" version of this TV just shy of 6 months ago. It is outright the best picture quality I have ever seen. If your purpose is cinema quality viewing, this is it.This TV belongs in a home theater room, but with the exception of direct sunlight it will handle any lighting condition.I don't really make use of the TVs OS due to the number of high-end multipurpose devices I already have attached, but it is very responsive. The TV speakers are better than any TV speakers I have dealt with, but make no mistake they do not compare to a dedicated sound system. I have not used the soundbar that came bundled.Word of warning about the bundled mount: the head of one of the lag bolts sheared off as I was tightening the mount down. I immediately replaced all of the bolts with larger, stronger bolts and remounted. The remote is backlit. The backlight activates when it senses movment and no light. Only turning on when needed to save battery. Excellent design.I play games on this TV and it performs excellently. It is still an OLED panel, so I would advise against using it as a PC monitor, and suggest keeping content varied. Unfortunately there is still no VRR support. To wait until there are new, better products available to get a single promised feature is a minor annoyance, but this is a no compromises price point at any size.

Stunning. I continually find myself gasping at how amazing the quality of the images are. They are so breathtaking, and the texture and colors so remarkable I'm literally stunned with surprise that a TV image could look that good. I kid you not, and I'm not exaggerating or engaging in hyperbole. I waited almost 20 years before getting a flat screen, watching movies and programs instead on my computer monitor. But I finally saw the rave reviews for this Sony, and surmised the technology had matured, so I sprung for the 55" 4K OLED, base model (as I felt the higher model was just a tad bright after looking at it in the store). I have this setup on my large desk with a monitor stand hooked to the back, and I watch it, feet up on the desk, leaning comfortably back in my huge executive chair, and find it a perfect distance. I've never enjoyed TV so much. I never thought it could look this good. Again, I'm not exaggerating. I highly recommend purchasing this as you'll find it one of the best investments you'll ever make, and get far more enjoyment out of it that you will holding on to the money. And I say this as a tight-wad! Right now I'm watching House MD, shot almost 20 years ago, and the images are stunning, razor sharp, skin tones real and tactile. I'm just so happy I waited and purchased this. And, by the way, this is with the settings straight out of the box.
Very nice TV.... would buy again.... but. A very nice TV.... would buy again.... but..Great picture, good TV... I have no complaints ....... but....a tick that my TV has.... may be a fluke..... but....When the TV is first turned on, the "on" light at the bottom of the TV border comes on... to indicate it is on... but..that light goes out... it is not all that bright to disturb viewing.... I use a firestick... through the HDMI port..... so if I don't mentally use the Sony remote to turn the TV off under certain situations.... I can see at night the screen still has the backlight on the screen ..... I would think Sony would leave the power on light visible while the TV is on.... but..... my TV can be on and me not know it as the screen will be black.
Really great TV, crappy OS. Let's start with the good. The picture is amazingBuild quality is terrificPhysically everything about the TV is top notchNow the badThe OS is Google TV, the Home screen is designed to market 'recommendations' (Google doesn't call them ads) to you. That wouldn't necessarily be terrible except, every time you go to the home screen expect to click the remote a minimum of 4 times to get to any of your streaming accounts. Googles 'recommendations' do not take into account any of your subscriptions.
Wow, game changer. I was considering a 65" A90J, though, settled on 77" A80J.The picture is great! When you can differentiate between real beard hair and filler, during a movie, it is insane.Highly recommended!!!!
Amazing quality and sound. Amazing quality and sound. Easy connect to Chromecast
Beautiful Picture. Gripe Is with 2nd Remote (UE DEFECT). I like the Google TV OS. If you don't like pushing buttons, use the remote or phone Google Home app voice command control, which works really well OOB and doesn't need a learning period. Here's my (-1*) gripe, buying a 2nd remote is a no brainer for the sake of preserving a marriage. #1) While a non-backlit RMF-TX520U remote can be ebay'd for as little as $20, a backlit RMF-TX621U will set you back ~$100, #2) And here's the kicker, you can only pair one remote via bluetooth so the 2nd remote will not have voice command, AND more importantly, the Sony DEFECTIVE SW will cause the secondary remote to forget your cable box (eg Tivo, (probably DirectTV)) IR configuration - WTH? ...IMO, a usability engineering fail of monumental proportions.

Fantastic picture. Love the picture, no judder like my previous purchased Samsung. Do not like the remote though, I don't understand why manufacturers cannot put in back lighting. Dark room, cinema experience, then ruined - have to turn on light to see remote. On the fence with the Google TV as I am contemplating cutting the cord since cable has become awash in commercials and high prices. Set up was easy but a bit invasive (for lack of a better description) seems all these media companies are more interested in harvesting my information than customer service. Wish the tv was just a tv and not a peephole for google.
