Well pleased. I bought this 75" Samsung after my comparatively priced TCL 65" developed screen issues after just 13 months(Thanks Asurion for covering it) and I must say I'm happy with my purchase. I also had a 55" TCL go kaput after just 2 years. I doubt they've done long term tests on the TCL big screens as the reviews have been glowing, but my experience says steer clear.If you're in the market for a reasonably price big screen tv for your living room then look no further as this is a great tv for your average person. This might not be a serious gamer or videophile set but the picture pops and to me the contrast is great which is important.These are the pros that were important to me:Pros:Beautiful picture especially in higher resolutionDeeper blacksMinimalist remote that works with my Vizio soundbarOptical to work with my older soundbarNice design with very thin bezelRechargeable remote(USB C) with solar recharging also! Great TV And Great Value. This Samsung Qled TV offers an excellent picture and decent sound for a reasonable price ($597 for 55”). Granted the picture is not quite as good as high end Qled TV’s or OLED TV’s which are far more expensive, but for the price it is very good. The only minor downside is the small & confusing remote but for about $10 a full size remote can be purchased here on Amazon.
Good TV for the price…. Good value. Easy install/setup. I am not a “TV Techie” and a whole bunch of features would simply go unused. I just wanted a large format TV that was good looking and good to look at. This fits the bill quite nicely. Watching the Super Bowl on it was stunning.
Its a nice tv, but not great. I replaced a 5-6 year old tv with this samsung. It has a lot of good features, the picture quality is great, the colors, brightness, sharpness are all things to be desired. Where this tv falls off a bit for me is the interface, it just looks cheap. Setting up all the apps can be really annoying aswell. Ive also had a few issues with random turn offs, or certain apps always having an issue, like netflix, and history channel. I was able to get this tv for such a good deal around black friday so for the value its a great tv. I just dont love the samsung software. All that said, its a solid tv for the price. Picture quality is the most important feature to me so im happy with the tv overall.
Samsung 55" to Q60c 65" WOW. It took me quite a while to convince my Wife that we were due for an upgrade. SInce we got it she Love'sthe Samsung Q60c. Great price, picture quality and ease of use. Me as the Husband absolutley am glad with our continued love of Samsung products and support. Samsung sound bar works perfect. Connective abllity to my Dish provider took tv to another level.
Great quality. Well-packaged, gorgeous picture, good sound even without our sound bar. Love the tiny remote. The picture is so good that someone said “it looks weird!” before we realized it was because we could see so much more detail.
Really like it. I got it primarily for gaming. It has the Gamepass app and gaming hub built in, which is nice. The picture on games are fantastic. The sound isn't amazing, but certainly good enough. I may invest in a soundbar at some point. The remote however is pretty confusing at first with the buttons not specifying what they do. Once you figure it out, it's fine though. The solar power recharge feature is a nice touch. Overall I'm quite happy with this as a gaming teleivision. The movies I've tested on 4K Blu Ray look superb too.
Maximum disapointment. Samsung 85” TV review. Here’s how it went. First the packing is pitifully flimsy. One of the 4 plastic snaps that hold the ends of the cardboard box was pre-broken, thankfully the other 3 held. The segmented Styrofoam elements formed a chain around only the perimeter of the carton but provided no flex prevention to the carton. Little diagrams stamped along the bottom depicting opening procedures convened nothing instructive but we managed to carefully open the box. Once opened it was about the same size and the Sony 85” it was replacing. Good so far. The single double sides page of instructions were very colorful with tons of arrows, but may have equally been useful for launching jets off an aircraft carrier or construction a bridge beam girder. Only one single item was useful: mounting to a wall bracket requires 4 M8 bolts which were NOT included. Really Samsung? A dimes worth of bolts you can’t provide on a $2K tv? Strike one.Now all connected and plugged in we reach for the remote to turn on the new tv. The remote is charged not by batteries but a solar window on the back or by USB port, the cable for that was also NOT provided. Luckily I had one that worked and charged the remote enough to begin. Strike two.The tv came on in glorious super bright color! I'm talking lighthouse bright. No problem, I’ll tone down the output with settings. But first what’s with the 2” wide band of tiny vertical lines just off the right edge of the screen? Or the 1” band of squiggly bars of colored lines racing across the very bottom of the screen? No amount of scrolling thru endless steps of the limited buttons on the remote would remove or provide any insight of the errant lines on the screen. Strike 3.A call to customer service was next. I won’t describe the events between dialing the number and finally talking to a person (in India? Pakistan? The Caribbean?) who was very nice and requested a photo of the lines on the screen, texted to a particular number, which I did. No response. We have spent almost 2 hours now and obviously this unit is faulted. Frustration and disappointment fill the room. Back to Amazon it goes. Having spent thousand of dollars on Amazon over the years, this is my first return, and I discover the return process will take up to 37 days to refund my $2200. Lesson learned: no more big expenditures with Amazon.I have been a fan of Sony television since the Trinitron days. For the past 45 years, every TV I bought for myself or bought for my kids or gifted- was a Sony, including the last one: an 85 incher. Loved it. Then one day it wouldn’t come on. Died after 19 months. NINETEEN MONTHS for a $2300 TV? Disappointed beyond words. But I’m fortunate to have a helpful son (who favors Samsung) and just happens to know everything and rather than go another 10 rounds with him over which TV is best I just bought an 85” Samsung. This was a mistake. Maybe I just got a bad one or maybe the overworked handlers of Amazon weren’t as careful as they could have been, given the inadequate packaging. Possibly some disreputable seller unloaded some questionable name brand components to Amazon, who knows. But over all I prefer the Sony picture, remote and necessary devices included over the Samsung. There are no major electronics retailers within 60 miles of my location so I’ll stuff a sock on my sons mouth and order another Sony; from either Walmart or Circuit City.

Just What I Wanted. Great Fire TV for the price and features. Picture and sound are both good on the 50” version that still has local dimming. Some infrequent blooming but overall another TV that proves less dimming zones isn’t a detriment with proper processing. Peak brightness isn’t as high as more expensive TV’s but is still noticeable with HDR content and very acceptable at this price. HDR10, HDR10+, HLG and Dolby Vision IQ all work well with good brightness range and color volume. Note: no Dolby Atoms for sound. I knew this, my TV is wall mounted high and tilted down slightly in a small bedroom and I have no need for a sound bar. NOTE: if using a sound bar with an optical cable, try turning the TV speakers off AND changing the output to PCM or Dolby Digital; and use HDMI 4 (ARC/eARC).This TV is a great value for my application and the budget I set for it.I’m just using the Fire TV interface and none of the HDMI inputs. So I can’t speak on Hue, Contrast and Color issues others may see. Out of the box, mine seems spot on and I currently have no want or desire to go in and adjust any settings based on the content from the various apps I’ve used.The interface isn’t as fast as the Fire TV Cube 3 or Fire Stick 4K Max but still pretty good overall. Note to new Fire TV users: the interface is slower when updates are being downloaded and installed. Check the Device Info for updates several times when first starting the TV. There will be several updates: some very big ones and 2 to 3 more little ones at the least. Keep checking back until it says that it’s “up-to-date”. THEN start to really enjoy the interface. Also the network connection and its QUALITY also plays a factor. This TV supports 2.4/5Ghz and wired (100Mbps).Ambient mode is great but just remember what the TV tells you. The power button on the remote TOGGLES between the Fire TV interface and ambient mode and that long pressing it turns the TV off. No issues with any widgets so far for me. Also, my TV easily recognizes when I enter and exit the room.If you have other Amazon products nearby that listen for “Alexa”, simply change the TV’s wake word to Computer, Amazon or Echo. Absolutely no issues with this.1. I haven’t found any “inescapable” ads to get to content. You can “click” on these shortcuts if you want but you can just user your voice to search for titles instead. Like every other TV interface or box, third party apps have their own interfaces, sign-ins, ads, etc. that can’t be controlled by Amazon, Apple, Google, TCL, etc. Third party apps also place their own ads onto the TV platform they are on based on the deals they have in place.2. The Fire TV interface is anything but complex. You can set it up anyway you want. Again, the various interfaces, profiles, etc. of third party apps are completely independent from Fire TV and on the makers of them and this would be the same on any other TV platform.3. YMMV on the interface. Third party crashes and bugs are possible too. Third party interface issues need to be reported to their makers. They manage the various versions of their app across various platforms and sometimes they aren’t all equal in performance or features offered by platform.4. It hasn’t quite been a decade for Apple to allow the removal of 1st party apps (2016) but maybe Amazon will allow certain apps to be deleted one day. But understand these devices are meant to interface with and promote Amazon products and services primarily.5. The remote button press sounds can be turned off in options for the main interface. Don’t know about the Alexa Home Theater mode but if there isn’t a way, find out if there is one and if not ask that it be implemented.6. Again, out of the box settings being what they may for everyone, at least there are detailed picture settings available for the TV and all of its inputs – all independent of one another to get things looking the way you personally prefer.
Five star TV when you look the the value. I have a lot of TV'S that run the full spectrum price wise. I recently am dealing with a housing change (divorce, ugh) and needed to get something quickly that I would like, but wouldn't kill me financially as my cash flow is locked down. For reference, at my original house, I have an 65" LG G2, a 55" 2022 Sony Experia, and two 43" Amazon Fire TV'S for bedrooms that are not the Omni versions.I was very impressed with the 43" base Fire TV. It had a solid albeit a bit dim picture, a fast responsive menu, and just generally was a good set for $300. I bought another, which is the ultimate sign if confidence. Two years later, they are still charging on. So, when I hit this current crummy reboot, I immediately looked at these again, but immediately moved on to the Omni option. I really needed a big TV. The LG C2 was what I really wanted, but the almost $3000 price tag was just beyond what I could do right now. Given all of this, I swallowed my TV snobbery, and ordered up the 75" Omni which I believe is manufactured by TVL for Amazon. Here are my thoughts.First off, what matters most is the picture. It is shockingly good. Mini LED tech is not generally as good as OLED. However, this picture really works. It is reasonably bright and the HDR content shines on Netflix and other high quality streams. This is a 60hz panel, so I do miss the faster processing on my higher end TV'S, but it is surprisingly close. The blacks here also surprised me. This TV can get really dark. Is it LG OLED good? No. Is it way better than one third of the price good? Heck yes! Most average eyes, will be really happy with the picture here.In terms of menu and interface, Gire TV'S are better than many including LG. I know, blasphemy! Try an LG and you will know what I mean. Their screens are absolutely the best, but the menus are a mess. At least for me. This TV automatically recognizes when I turn on the PS5 amd everything you need is right there. I don't notice the bloatware others have had issue with. I live in the Amazon ecosystem though so keep that in mind.In terms of gaming, this is where you will likely feel the difference. The picture looks amazing but when a game really gets going, on the PS5, you will notice some speed issues. However, it is very marginal. I think it really works just fine for the average gamer.So, what are you missing? First is the aforementioned screen speed. 60hz isn't fast enough. You get a really good HDR format though, and gaming images are very detailed and high end. You don't get Dolby Atmos but sound is OK. I really recommend a sound bar. I bought a 7.1 Vizeo with Atmos and the content sounds amazing via the HDMI Arc connection. The picture still isn't that bright. It is way better than the base Fire TV'S but it isn't amazing. There just isn't that much missing for me at this price.The bottom line is this: This is a tremendous value for the money. I can nitpick some things, but a 75" TV makes a big statement in most rooms and this one doesn't disappoint. Are there way better TV's out there? Oh, yes. Are ther better values? Not that I have seen. Buy with confidence.

Samsung 65Q70 TV is incredible. This TV is incredible! Great pic! Clear! Smooth graphics! Rich colors. Easy setup. Great price! Got free delivery and unpack. I will never pick up a TV this big again. Risk breaking them. Bought it from the Samsung Store on Amazon. Delivered, unpacked, and put together 2 days after purchasing. I would give it 6 stars if I could.
Very pleased with the performance gain. Never bought a TV from Amazon before, but this was a decently pleasant experience. The first TV we ordered had some visual noise/blurring after 2 weeks of use. Called support and they sent a replacement right away and I only had to box the 1st one and send it back in. It's been over a month now with the replacement and it's a phenomenal experience. 120hz refresh rate is a game changer when viewing movies as images are able to be viewed as intended. Picture quality is amazing and very crisp. I don't care for the HDR as we live in an apt. that has some seriously superb naturally lighting that is very difficult to evade with extreme countermeasures. My wife and I have a rewatched so many movies and shows already as it's a new experience vs. a 60 hz refresh rate TV. Very happy with this purchase and hope it holds well for at least 3 years.
Excellent TV for money. Likes: easy to setup since I already had account with Samsung .Its much easier to connect with internet if you use Ethernet connection .The weight of TV was little surprising when I set the tv up myself ,much easier if you use two.Packing was outstanding for great protection and preservation in shipping .I used SMART THINGS APP of Samsung and calibrated tv with my IPhone and it was an outstanding and easy setup.Picture quality is beautiful ,sound I use Yamaha receiver and connectivity was flawless .DIRECTV 4K channels are so beautiful .Electronics of Samsung is a perfect choice you cannot go wrong .I highly recommend this Tv even though they say it’s mid range .Watching tv at a slight angle was unnoticeable of any flaws .Overall I give this Tv ease of assembly A+,Picture quality A+,Sound A,Remote you will lose because it is small if not careful but it serves its purpose .Amazon delivery was handled with care and excellent .
Great TV. I ordered this 65” Samsung as part of Amazons Prime Days sale. The TV is great. Very modern and thin with several HDMI ports for accessories. The picture is great and the set up was pretty easy. It didn’t take long to go through the wizard and add all my apps and streaming services. We use DirectTV streaming and the app works great along with all the others. We also purchased a Samsung soundbar with subwoofer and the set up with the TV was super easy and paired immediately. Only giving 4 stars because the delivery was terrible. You set up the delivery date after purchase and it was a week, not Prime. That would have been fine but on my date of delivery (which I needed to work at home for) they didn’t show up and they didn’t even notify me. The next day no communication either! They finally acknowledged they didn’t show up and my next delivery date was almost 10 days later. Took 3 weeks for a Prime delivery, clearly they were just trying to sell TVs but anyway, the product is good. Recommend the Samsung soundbar and sub as well.

Banding - Possible seller issue - SKG USA. The media could not be loaded.  I purchased the Samsung Q70C 85" TV from SKG USA, drawn by the promise of 'Used - Like New' condition and the assurance of a full manufacturer's warranty. The claim was that the box had suffered minor damage while the TV remained in perfect condition. No box damaged was noted on arrival. However, within the first 30 days, my expectations were met with disappointment.During a dark room test, the TV, priced at $1700, revealed significant 'clouding' and 'banding' defects. These terms might sound technical, but they simply mean that the screen has uneven patches of brightness ('clouding') and visible lines across the display ('banding'), which are particularly noticeable in darker scenes. For a TV boasting QLED technology, known for its stellar picture quality, this is a surprising and unacceptable issue so early in its lifespan.Despite the TV's impressive color accuracy, smart features, and design, these screen uniformity flaws are a major letdown, suggesting a potential defect that undermines the value of this high-end model. It's disheartening to encounter such problems on a device that's barely a month old and sold as near-perfect.I am reaching out through this review in hopes that SKG USA will honor their sale and address these concerns promptly. Awesome product. Had it a couple months now. Great television. Picture is excellent! Fantastic for movies 4k blueray's are phenomenal. I just wish I went for the 75" I have had no issues whatsoever. Hopefully it stays that way.
Great Picture Quality. Picture quality is excellent, plenty bright. It comes with a solar powered remote control which I really like but I can't use it because I'm using the voice remote on my cable box. It's a very small remote, there are not enough buttons to manage all the features of my Verizon cable box.

Pretty darn good. Always been LG fan as they do have the best picture especially if you're watching from an angle, but this goes in my Man cave were we sit directly in front of it, and it's a fantastic picture, reasonable good sound, easy to use, It has a better picture on its own smart mode than it does on Firestick utilizing HDMI, but is a nice remote, just a tad slow, great buy for the buck. I cannot judge the picture from wide angle the room is to small
Great price Great picture and features. So I’m very used to Plasma and OLED in smaller sizes for production purposes. And even though I love my plasma at 720 P it has a fantastic picture however, the sharpness on this is mine blowing, and since it’s DirectView LEDs lit from the back. None of that edge light garbage, I have run several high DEF test patterns and purity signals. All colors are very even.. I am picking up over the air content, and for the most part, it looks beautiful unless, of course it’s transmitted in standard DEF, but that’s not the fault of the TV. The tuner and this will also pick up digital TV over the Internet. Not a whole lot of great choices there, but some of its good and much of it is in 4K. I also running a 4K ultra HD DVD into it, and that looks great. I will say that you must take it out of the default set up. It comes in you need to play around with the settings on and get it to the way you like it.. another nice thing I noticed is that whatever settings I set are for whatever input I’m using at the time, so I set my settings for a TV that sticks to TV. They said it to HDMI one at six to HDMI one and so on.. has three HDMI inputs. And when I turn on the TV, it will turn on my audio receiver as well over the HDMI 2.1. As for the Google options, they seem to work fine for me so I don’t know what a lot of people have complained about. Some say it’s slow to respond, but I have not encountered that at least maybe I’m just more patient. I think TCL did very good job on this particular model which has the G prefix at the end I was looking at the F earlier. Apparently there is some thing in game mode that makes it run at 240 frames per second. I’m not a gamer so I wouldn’t be able to know.Overall, it’s a great price and a very good set. I’m happy with it.
TCL 75-Inch Q6 QLED 4K Smart TV with Google (75Q650G), 2023 Model. I've now had this TV for 3 months and am so sorry I went with this one. Nothing but never ending glitches and problems every time I try to use it. I see no mention in the other reviews of the negatives of this TV, so as a counterpoint, here they are:The primary reason that I went with TCL over LG was that LG places ads on their TVs as a known thing. TCL allegedly didn't, well guess what? Everytime I turn on this TV I have to watch a Nissan ad which takes precedence over the TV SLOWLY loading up it's OS, delaying it further. Others have mentioned that the TV is slow and "laggy", but that is so understated. It's not just slow, it actually frequently goes backwards if you are faster than the processor. I know the key sequence to get to live TV after it turns on- it will eventually get to the live TV screen, but then takes you out of TV, back to the GoogleTV main screen after a few seconds so that it can show you the commercial that you bypassed by going too quickly on startup and SLOWLY loading recommendations and updating your watch history. Creepy that it has shows that I've watched on other TVs in the house, including the ROKU. There is apparently no way to remove from "continue watching", only wait for it to fall off, so if you are 5 minutes into a show and just not feeling it, it stays up there to continue watching BUT if you select something that you actually want to continue watching from that menu, it usually does not pick up where you left off, but starts it all over again from the beginning!What I liked about the old ROKU was that it was EASY to pause/ record live TV. I made sure that this TV had that when I was making the decision of TCL or LG and it does, but it is not as easy as ROKU, there is conflicting information on the internet of how to set it up, including on the TCL site. I finally got it to work after a month, but it's very hinky-dinky and it ruined 3 USB drives to do it.First, the drive has to be formatted properly, I did not see it anywhere, but it has to be formatted to NTFS, EXFAT and FAT32 that are used on others and are pre-written to most drives did not work. When you insert the drive, it will ask you if you want to format it, DON'T. If you format the drive at that point, it will use the drive as storage for the TV/ apps and it will not allow you to use it to pause live TV, insisting that there is no USB in the drive. Go to the Live TV menu, select a show, press the quick menu button on the remote and go to pause live TV that is grayed out and select it. It (sometimes and eventually) will pop up with the onscreen menu to use the drive to record TV and guide you through the process. The thing is, if you leave the USB drive for pausing the TV in the back of the TV, EVERY SINGLE TIME you power the TV on, it will detect the drive/ USB, eject the USB, do some other background stuff, "discover" the USB a few seconds later and what happens next is up to who knows what- sometimes it brings up an "explore this drive" option over most of the screen, sometimes it will give you a notification to "format this drive for this TV" (which if you do, it then becomes TV memory, and you can no longer pause TV on it). It's especially annoying since the startup is already so slow, these steps with the USB just add more time and are unpredictable. USUALLY now, if you just do nothing, the TV will eventually figure it out on it's own and go away, BUT if you press any button on the remote it will often select an undesired option when it finally gets around to processing the input from the remote.PICTURE QUALITY:Everyone raves about the clear and bright picture, which it does have if you are watching slow moving native HD content. The direct lit screen is VERY BRIGHT, but that also means bright spots in the picture, especially in dark/ black. There is a bright spot to the left center of my TV that is appreciably brighter than the rest of the screen that irks my nerves and is distracting.This TCL was $150 cheaper than the LG equivalent at the time, not a great difference but enough to have impact on my decision, as well as double the stated "effective motion rate" for the TCL. BS- the motion on this TV is the worst I've ever seen on a TV. It was so bad that on the factory settings, trying to watch "Gladiator" caused me to vomit. Literally VOMIT. I'm not prone to motion sickness and no other TV ever caused anything like it, nor the 120" projector that I had. It's not the size of the screen, it was the HORRIBLE motion control that tries to do more than the processor can handle at once. The result was bright "soap opera" look. Bright, gauzy, floaty and bouncy but any rapid, not even FAST movement caused blocky blurry pixelation in the area of the movement and surrounding it as well. My pet peeve with 60hz is confetti falling where I notice it the most, but that's pretty rare to see while watching anything. This has that falling confetti look/ distortion on simple things like someone waving their hand. Instantly looks like "Minecraft" with Instagram beauty blur shot through gauze.I spent 2 hours trying to change the settings to continue watching the movie and when I thought they were good, I went back to watching and it discarded all of the changes and went back to the bright and bouncy version from before. It wasn't bothering my partner so I continued on with the movie with my eyes closed for most of it, debating whether I should send it back (I've never returned a TV before). The next day when I was talking about it at work I got the name of someone to come and "Tune" the settings. That cost $75 or half of the savings going with TCL over LG.He was here 10 minutes and from what I can tell, the changes he made were to turn off all of the TCL "picture enhancements" hidden in various menus, switch the color profile to "Movie" and dim the brightness to 50%.It was better and no longer made me seasick watching TV when I paid him. Later I found out that no matter what settings you have set, the TV will override them if the source is 4K/ HDR/ Dolby what ever and it goes back to the predetermined by TCL settings that are bright, bouncy and blocky. Well Eff me, that's why it kept reverting back on "Gladiator". LSS, I can't really watch UHD on this TV since the TV will only play it in a format that makes me dizzy.Another of the TCL "features" is the "upscaling". HOLY COW IS IT HORRIBLE!!! Instead of a slightly blurrier picture/ less definition over the whole screen, it seemingly just adds in white specks. The result is a distorted picture that looks like old-school static/ interference to the signal. It sends me back to childhood, before cable. Kids, this is what the picture looked like on antenna TVs when it was getting ready to storm. Putting aluminum foil on the wifi router did not help in this case, lol. It's just turning that "feature" off every time it decides to turn on by itself. I don't know why this thing keeps turning things on randomly, but it's really, really annoying to have to keep setting up and resetting the thing every few days. It has a mind of it's own and will do what it wants... like Cartman.The biggest failure yet is "Ambient Mode"/ screensaver. This was SUPER ANNOYING before, when the screen saver would come on while paused- both live TV pause/ recording or a pause in streaming to go to the bathroom. If you hit the back button to go back to what you were doing before pausing, it takes you out of whatever you are in a back to the GoogleTV main screen, that it AGAIN SLOWLY populates and refreshes before you can go back to what you were watching in a streaming app from square 1, and if you were "recording live TV" after finally setting it up correctly. WONK, sorry it's lost, gone forever, no longer saved on the drive. So really, you can only pause TV for 8 minutes.BUT WAIT, that was before! NOW the screen saver /ambient mode is coming on every 10 minutes while actively watching TV or streaming! This started last weekend after an update. I assume it was an update as the TV was even buggier than usual, then restarted to the TCL and Google splash screens while watching TV. After 5 minutes of flashing, it went back to the GoogleTV "smart page" as usual to then show me a Nissan ad over the top half of the screen- jittery, pixelated, starting and stopping using system resources to play an ad instead of loading all of the now constant on-screen notifications. This is unacceptable to me, every 10 minutes watching TV is interrupted with the screen saver popping up! I've tried everything to turn it off completely to no avail. The internet hack of unselecting all selection boxes of what to display when it turns on no longer works and there is no "Disable ambient mode" on this version of Google TV!I finally contacted TCL support at the beginning of the week and heard back today finally that there is no way to turn off ambient mode and instructions of how to use "sleep mode". This is after HOURS of providing "ownership documentation" (that was previously put in when I set up my TCL account for this TV and it took 5 minutes sending information back and forth before initial setup could continue 3 months ago. Nope, anything to delay a response since they are "Experiencing higher than normal..." blah blah. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, delay any real resolution as long as you can, then reply with an off topic "solution" after several days, when each "response" has a ticking clock from them that they are "closing the ticket" as resolved, have not answered any of the basic questions, then respond with a random copypasta that has nothing to do with any of the many problems.The TV randomly freezes or turns itself off, BUT I have determined that it just gives up after being on for 7 hours in a row. I guess the processor is just too overwhelmed and sputters off/ clocks out. When it exhausts itself/ fill up it will not respond to the remote AT ALL and the only thing you can do is UNPLUG IT FROM THE WALL AND WAIT TO PLUG IT BACK IN. "Cold reboot", lol. What kind of backward regressive technology is this?The rants can go on, it seems like every day is a new glitch/ issue and the problems are getting worse and MORE FREQUENT. WAY TOO Many problems with a "new for 2023" TV with no manufacturer support. This is my first and last TCL TV. I'm sorry I bought it, it's getting worse and I feel that MANY of the claims made are "puffery" as to it's abilities and a lot seem like blatant lies.There's lots of positive promoted compensated "reviews" of this TV and I feel taken by believing them. yes, it's a big, bright picture, but it's not that "cheap" after all and the "leading edge technology" is backed with old, outdated equipment that just can't deliver.EDIT: Just noticed that the specifications were "updated" to correctly show that this is a 60Hz TV, it was previously stated as being 120Hz in all 3 areas/ with 240 acceleration! So Amazon and TCL misrepresented the product that they sold to all early buyers before they made the change to reflect what is actually inside the TV. So who is stepping up to take this crap TV back? Amazon? TCL? Now I'm VERY UNHAPPY and better understand the "motion issues". I relied on misinformation provided by Amazon/TCL.Down to 1 stars for deceit!
Amazing picture but google tv awful. The picture quality is beautiful and easy to set up. To take advantage of the 4k HD you will need to upgrade your Netflix account, and any other apps to stream 4k. Get the Roku version if you can find it because the google tv interface is clunky and not user friendly. As others have mentioned, the interface is slow. Also recommend getting a soundbar.

Super picture, amazing price. I upgraded from a 10 year old 60" Sharp 1080p that had a great picture but did not have smart features. I wasn't sure the picture would be an upgrade, but I was tired of having to switch between the firestick for smart features and the tv remote for antenna and HDMI functions.This did not disappoint. The footprint of this 65" is not much bigger than the old 60" because of the edge to edge picture. The sound is much better as well, I had to use a soundbar with the sharp because of the thin sounding speakers. The picture is outstanding, I'm just using the factory settings-mainly standard but occasionally switching to Movie and Dynamic. I haven't set any Custom pictures up yet, but will in the future. It's lighter as well and I was able to use the same slim mount as my older tv. Lighter is definitely more manageable. The power and inputs are easy enough to access even with it being mounted close to the wall.This is really a great tv with a ton of features for the money-It's quite a bit cheaper than what I paid for the smaller 60" tv 10 years ago--not many things are better and cheaper than they were 10 years ago.
Good value for money. I ordered this TV on Cyber Monday offer deal. Received the product just outside of my door on the specified date. The picture quality is very good and pleasant. Alexa integration is a great addition to the TV and greatly helps in navigating channels and sites. Happy customer!
Game Mode causes micro stutters. Fine for watching TV, if you want to game on this good luck, game mode causes stutters every 5 to 10 seconds and with game mode off the input lag is unbearable, TCL claims it’s not an issue with they tv, apparently both my PS5’s, and Nintendo switch are the issue.
A very good product for the price. We love this TV. It is easier to read the written text from a distance, and the picture quality is better than our previous TV. The price was amazing, and we are very satisfied. We would like a better image, but the price to get that is out of our budget range. Very satisfied with this purchase.
Tv is exactly what I wanted. I wanted a reasonably priced tv but still have a good picture quality. The sound quality is good we have a sound bar which we used for our old tv but still haven’t plugged it in with this one. This is the first time using a fire tv as they have all been Roku’s and I quite like it. I would definitely recommend.

Good budget option. I was one of the lucky few to pick up one of these on Prime Day for just $160 which was an amazing price for such a decent TV. Even at it's current price of $337 I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another one if we had the need for one in the near future.This replaced one of the old Seiki 50" 4K TV's that came out a decade ago and were by far the least expensive 4K TV's you could get at the time. The main TV in my house is a 2019 75" Vizio P-Series. Probably the most telling thing I could say about this TV is that I used to avoid watching any movies or anything "pretty" that the visuals were right up there with the story because the old Seiki was not real great of picture quality. I no longer worry about that however as the picture from this TV is very good for it's price.Pros: - Consistent picture across inputs. I had change the picture settings switching from game to show on the Seiki which was horribly annoying. - Good lighting with no major hotspot issues. Not unexpected since it has full array local dimming. - Contrary to some reviews stating otherwise I don't notice any significant motion blur. Perhaps the Google version has this issue? - It plays nice with standard and non-standard external devices: - Works great with the Xbox One - Surprisingly also works great with my Asus PN41 mini PC (no over/underscan issues) - Sound is as expected for a thin LED TV that doesn't have room or depth for great speakersCons(?): - Have had some issues with the wifi connectivity - Likely a combination of wall mounting it on a wall which is brick on the exterior (the reflection of the wifi signals back towards the TV off the wall can really kill your signal) - Unfortunately placement of the main router and sole satellite of my mesh Wifi system that doesn't allow any better placement than with a large brick fireplace and multiple walls directly between the router and the TV - Not really a con as it's a pretty standard size and it's super cheap to get a longer one, but if you're wall mounting yours and wanting neat cable management you'll likely want to go ahead and order a longer power cable because the one this comes with is only ~6-8 feet long
Great price, great TV. Had some Amazon card points and figured I'd use them to replace a 65" Samsung plasma TV in my basement. Really love the Samsung plasma, the picture is smooth and clean. Got this Hisense Friday evening ans started setting it up. The TV is well assembled and looks high quality all around. This Hisense is the 75" U6HF with FireTV. This TV is awesome! The picture is crisp and clean. The motion, even with sports is smooth and clear. The sound is great and fills my really large basement with ease. I had reservations about this TV, but decided to take a chance after reading many positive ratings. I'm happy to report that Hisense is really impressing me, it's a great TV, and a really good option when my kids hog my 86" Samsung in my family room.
Great for the Price--works as a computer monitor too. I got this for the price and the reviews I'd read. Given the price , it's a really good performer. I purchased this specifically to serve as a very large computer monitor. I don't have to wear readers while sitting at at 50 inch screen and I'm at a screen for hours. It works as such great with a modern computer. You get a giant desktop to boot--with lots of space to keep open windows etc. I tried gaming on it with an Alienware computer (not laptop)--2022 Alienware and it's been good. I'm not an avid gamer but the graphics are great. I used newer HDMI cables to insure good quality. I'd say it' would be fine with an Xbox or PS3 as well as a cheap but very respectable alternative to a stand alone monitor of this size. Professional gamers should go elsewhere for myriad reasons and simply would not choose a TV as a monitor but everyone else--you might be quite pleased given the price.I've read so much about it being an Amazon TV--true, that's the interface that's the main screen when you turn it on-- but it's as simple as pushing a few buttons, going to inputs and there's the computer as an input. I have the signal for the TV as an internet driven TV using a cable directly off my router but I did try it on WIFI (I have a very good WIFI system at home) and it was fine and generating high quality images.Yes when the screen goes to sleep, you must push the home screen button, toggle over to inputs to your computer input and wake your computer from sleep via keyboard and mouse-it's been fussy--I have to usually hit the keyboard a few times, jiggle the mouse but again we're talking 4 seconds and given the price I can live with the jiggle when that happens. Waking the computer first , then going to the inputs seems to be more reliable but this is no deal breaker by any means.I will say that the settings menus for the TV is confusing. You don't get global settings (where you it a settings button for the TV as a whole, for all things connected to the TV and apply to everything--much of your picture settings is dependent on what you are watching. So if you are watching a very high quality Netflix or Amazon Prime Show, the settings give you a broad range of options and you see the impact of those settings as you tamper for that programming. If I'm using it on my computer, I have to tweak those settings when the computer is up to insure the settings are what I want. If I am gaming (as an option) under the computer , I readjust for gaming. If I bring up any of the HD Youtube stuff for 4K--the picture is marvelous, that pristine wow picture you see on screens on display at a big box store.I do notice with scenes that are night , on Netflix or Prime, for some night scenes some issues with shadows or darkness (meaning you will see a kind of clouding abstract dark patch on the screen). You can adjust settings to get rid of this and lose some picture quality, sit further back etc. Given the price, I'd not sweat it.Other reviewers have mentioned 120hz--this is a 60hz machine (though it may do things up to 120HZ)---I've not scene specific settings that suddenly let you deal with or designate that the TV should generate 120hz. I'd welcome a post talking to that matter, be great to unlock all that but I fear on this model it's not there.Someone used the word Vivid in another post. The settings that pump out color on this machine are referred to as DYNAMIC, then there's natural, movie, standard, game PC--basically ignoring those labels--pick and choose what looks best for you and fiddle with the associated settings under those labels. There is also a custom setting for the very brave.Getting at settings is remote dependent, so that's where the action is, learn the remote. Not all remote features will work unless the content has that enabled. There's vague references to that on some of the main TV settings under the Fire settings menu on the main screen. Customer support won't tell you that and you may end up unnecessarily resetting your TV (per their directive) when in fact it's working fine.So I'd say this--if you want a cheap 4K QLED that will impress with many things, but not all, go for it with this 50 inch TV. I did for my purposes--got a great monitor, much better movie viewing in my office when I so desire and it's not really hard to operate and handle many inputs. I'd buy another HISENSE as a main TV on their upper tier.If you're thinking you're going to get OLED or some competitors quality at a steal--not quite but very close .
Absolutely wonderful. Deluxe Delivery and Unpacking was the best service. Guys were fast, efficiency, respectful of property. I didn't lift a finger and before I knew it the two fellows had the TV working and were leaving with the box and all the packing material. As to the TV it is big and beautiful. Setup was easy and straight forward. Colors are bright. Picture is sharp and clear. Pleased with purchase.
I had never heard of this brand. And now I love them! This TV freaking rocks. Ok, so some other reviews mention the sound and, yeah, it isn't great. But the picture is amazing, the features are pretty dang good, and the whole setup took approximately four seconds.There are some UI issues at first because it isn't really all that intuitive but after a month I'm more baffled by my old Samsung (which, I should mention, is 13 inches smaller and 30 pounds heavier).This TV is 100% worth every penny I paid and honestly it wasn't that many pennies! 6 out of 5 stars, would buy again.

I love all 75 inches. This 75 inch Samsung is amazingly awesome. It’s everything I knew it would be but better. Great picture quality, ok sound (will add surround sound/bar later) with slim body and no side bezel to hide screen so full screen.
Wife can watch her shows and stepson can watch all his sports. Great TV. Looks great. Hate the remote. It is very small and easy to lose. The buttons are not self explanatory. And there are two buttons for paid services I keep accidentally hitting. I need a better remote for this TV.
Great TV. The picture is great. I thought at first I would miss not having a number pad on the remote, but I have not found it to be a problem at all.
Mostly happy with TV, but remote is buggy and lags. We’ve had this TV for a few months, loved it at first. Great size, features, picture. A few months in, the remote stopped working - you hit volume up and it SHOOTS up to 100. Then you hit volume down, and it plunges down to 0. The voice assist button does not work/listen, and many of the apps on the Home Screen randomly disappear. We were about to buy a second one for another room, but then these issues popped up and were looking at other brands now.

The remote, I confess, takes a bit to get used to, but in two days I was good using it. Gee, there are so many features to explore. I can't get over it.To stream all my movies I have an array of free movie sites and a ton of other sites one can subscribe to. I can also download any site if not already in the enormous list of movie channels. Samsung offers "News Channels" to keep you updated with the world daily news.But you can always download TubiTv-for free movies and free "Live News"-- it wasn't in the "apps home list", but I downloaded it. As well as I downloaded the "BritBox" I subscribe to. WOW! Watching "Shetland", "Vera"or "Midsomer Murders" etc... on this tv is like have yourself going for a walk in the movie set of those British countryside scene. It's soooo live, the image pops out of the screen at you.I can also go to the internet browser, (after connecting a keyboard to this tv) and shop, research, write emails or do my fiction book writing and save it all to my email "drafts" file.Ah, you can also connect your phone to the tv and answer it when ringing if you use a wireless pair of ear pod (a Bluetooth I paid only $23+tx online, have owned it and gifted several throughout the last 3yrs), just as I use with my computer, no tv noise from lowd music or movies to the neighbors! I don't know what else can I ask for, we'll, I am still discovering new functions in this incredible tv! I REALLY RECOMMEND THIS TV!So happy I got it, and for a senior like me on a low SS pension, the 5pmts installments from Amazon suit my budget perfectly, in fact, it made all possible to buy this tv and other things for my new housing studio apt I recently moved to! Amazing clarity. This is the first QLED 4K that I bought and the first 65". The picture clarity is amazing. It set up easily with my universal remote because I previously had a Samsung. I don't need the smart features or the their apps since my service provider has most of them in their menu. This is a 2021 model at a reduced price. The only complaint is that it came across the country from an Amazon supplier and it took them ten days to get it here. My 'old' 55" LED 2014 model went to another house and the really old 2008 55" Samsung in that house went to another house. All still working.
Great TV for the money, but watch for a pink screen. This 70-inch Samsung Tv so far (a few days) meets may expectations regarding its picture and (somehow) its sound quality. I spent considerable time on adjusting tv settings to meet my expectations and I have achieved my goal, for you can control/adjust basically all aspects of the Tv picture, motion, sound, etc. However, this TV remote/pilot is quite annoying. It has minimum options to control, and it is difficult to use in a dark room (its buttons are not lit). Also, the Tv software/program annoyingly wants you to go on the internet and purchase/join some networks/providers. For my, using the cable provider, Spectrum, it is unnecessary policy of the Samsung. In essence, every time you turn on this TV it start with the Samsung Tv Plus, with icons of all these Netfixes, Hulus, Amazons, etc, plus your provider. However, there is a way to disable this defaulted preference and start your TV with the picture of the location where you have been when turned off TV. After a two more weeks:A problem with the so called "pink screen" developed. Basically, from time to time, when my TV was turned on it displayed just a pink screen with no picture nor any sound. I contacted a Samsung support which is overseas, of course. They made a record of my TV issue and accepted my photo of its pink screen. They said, it was due to the weak or disrupted/corrupted video signal, HDMI connection between the source and TV. However, upon plugin it in and out and in again, apparently, my HDMI cable was not causing this problem. After researching the internet I decided to call my Spectrum cable provider. To my surprise, the technician was quite familiar with this issue, and remotely tuned my cable box (HDR). Upon his tuning, my TV screen turned to have WAY better picture quality (!) and he promised me that the pink screen will never show on my screen again. So, now I have a way better picture, practically ideal quality. Also, I keep my fingers crossed that this pink screen will never pay me a visit. Also, I wonder, why this TV was not packed at its factory with a decent manual brochure clearly explaining all these issues to the clients.

The picture is incredible. I bought this for use in my office as a computer monitor and as a tv for when me and the wife want to watch different things. I have been through three tvs looking for something I could truly enjoy. This surpases what I expected. QLED gives the picture quality desired without mortgaging the house for an OLED. I sit about 2 feet away when working and don't need reading glasses and the picture is perfect. For watching Television it get's even better with an experience rivaling OLED. I have not noticed any blooming at all. I LOVE this TV. But, you do need a soundbar or something. The internal speakers are not good enough for my deep need for good sound. FOr gaming the refresh is good for an xbox or PS, but I wouldn't try and push serious PC gaming through it at high refresh rates. This is worth every penny and is super affordable for what it is. An amazing picture and a great computer monitor.
Good solid TV at the price point. I had no expectations before buying this specific brand of TV but after receiving this light weight TV, I bought another one. It’s high quality, resolution is outstanding and pricing does not break my bank. Plus it is internet ready!!
Excellent delivery service. I was thrilled to find the new Vizio TV waiting outside my door Thursday morning on Dec 14th. It wasn't supposed to arrive until the 19th or 20th. I only ordered it a couple of days ago!!! I have not opened the box yet, but the box that the TV box is encased in is in perfect shape, and has bubble wrap protecting it, and I have no fear that the TV is in perfect shape also!!! I am waiting on a new Vizio soundbar that should arrive tomorrow or Saturday, before I unpackage everything and set it all up!!! I have owned Vizio products for around 15 years now, and I am very impressed with Vizio. If if wasn't for my 40" Vizio 4k TV getting accidently knocked over, and the screen getting a little damage, I wouldn't have had to buy a new one! I will add to my review once I actually get to test it out. I purchased the newer 43" M series QLED UHD TV with Voice controlled remote and Bluetooth connectivity, so I can connect my Bluetooth headphones, and since I am a nightowl, I can watch movies, and listen to music without disturbing my older sister who lives with me. I have read all reviews, as I always do before making a major purchase, and I compare the good and the bad before I make my descision!!! I understand that we don't live in a perfect world, and some people will have bad experiences with some purchases, but I have no complaints about Electronic Express, and I give them and Vizio a huge Thumbs Up!!!!!!! My saying is, If your in the know, go with Vizio!!!! You won't be dissapointed!!!!
Worst customer service EVER for a defective product right out of the box. Update: I've had this tv hooked up for less than 90 days. When I turn it on, it either cannot load the "smartcast" portion (apps that allow you to use the tv) or it takes like 5 minutes. But mostly, it won't load at all until I unplug the tv, wait 30-60 seconds, and then start over. Not how a tv should work in less than 90 days. I'm worried that even that "fix" is going to stop making it work. I should have returned it when I first got it but didn't have anyone to help me get it back in the box and to an amazon return location. :(I bought this 65 inch tv as a birthday/Christmas gift to myself. My son was here for Christmas and helped me get it set up. However, we could not get the tv to turn on. There is NO INSTRUCTION MANUAL included in the box to identify whether there is a manual on/off switch and if so where it is located. My son finally found the switch which is underneath the tv on the left, right below the sensor for the remote. So the tv works. We had already replaced batteries three times after confirming the new batteries worked in another device. Once the tv was turned on it went through an update process. After that we tried to navigate with the remote and had no issue. Until we turned the tv off. For whatever reason, the remote that was provided with the tv will not turn on at all. I found an old vizio remote from a tv purchased probably 12 years ago that was stolen during a burglary and that remote will turn the tv on. But I don't want to have to use two remotes for a brand new tv.I called the Vizio support/warranty number today. I provided my serial number and the date and where I bought the tv (Amazon). I spent nearly 30 minutes on the phone with her telling me to do everything my son and I had already done - replace batteries, plug and unplug the tv, etc. The remote is clearly defective. You would think Vizio would just send me a new remote but no...... I am told that I have to go through some sort of online chat and upload my receipt and report what the issue is and they will respond. So a brand new tv which I couldn't even use but for an old remote I never threw out. And they want me to wait days or weeks for them to get around to processing my request for assistance, even though I called their warranty number and wasted 30 minutes of my time doing just that.So, for a useless warranty essentially and NO CUSTOMER SERVICE (don't believe their reps are in the US based on the accent and the same phrases over and over.... "here's the thing" and "perfect) I would not recommend this tv. To not be able to use it right out of the box is super disappointing.The other issues I have with this tv is that contrary to what many people say about the sound, I have to have it at 100 (max) and am still straining to hear it on any streaming service (Netflix, Prime, Hulu).And there is no bluetooth connection. I tried to hook up a bluetooth device to be able to hear the dang tv only to learn that this tv (and from my research all Vizio tvs) lack bluetooth connectivity.Between the lack of adequate sound, no bluetooth connectivity, no customer service and a warranty that takes who knows how long to address issues, despite having CALLED THE WARRANTY DEPT, this tv is a big disappointment and a no go. It's getting returned and I'll buy something of better quality with better customer service.
Great TV for movies. PROSGreat TV for watching movies.For the best view, in my opinion the “BRIGHT” and CALIBRATED/CALIBRATED DARK settings are the best options for standard tv viewing.For HDR or Dolby Vision, I use VIVID.I’ve never played games on this but they should be pretty VIVID on this TV, it displays great color.The audio is pretty impressive with the X simulated surround sound.CONSOne thing I dislike is that it didn’t come with 120 hz refresh rate, however it’s not a dealbreaker. Still has excellent picture.
Instructions. TV is great but trying to get the sound bar hooked up has me baffled. Can not get any sound with Viseo control or off and on with Dish control, so just listening to TV speakers.
Outstanding picture in a Smart TV that includes smartcast for free viewing. Bought this 50" Vizio as a re-furb (which was actually just an open box item) and arrived as new in the expected time and the seller had done a good packaging job. As I have owned several Vizio TVs and never had a problem with ANY of them I flet safe with the purchase and the Amazon back-up if there had been an issue. The TV did not disappoint in performance with a great 4K QLED HDR screen, voice remote that works with Alexa, and a quick and easy guided set-up. All-in-all it was a great purchase and the seller did a great job providing exactly what was promised!!

Solid value at the purchased price point. There's not as many professional reviews out there on this one as compared to the older 5 and 6 series TCL TVs, which are rated really well by the sites out there that do reviews. But they are getting harder to find and since they are scarcer than the current 2023 production models, the prices are high. When the current 2023 models had a discount for the first time we decided to take a closer look. The QM7 is about the least expensive native 120hz panel with local dimming that's out there right now, so for us it was worth a look.We saw the QM7 TV in person at a local B&M retailer before purchasing in on Amazon. The B&M retailer had it on a TCL specific showcase display with both QM6 and QM7 TVs running content that really highlighted the TV's performance. I can tell you that the QM7 is definitely worth the extra cost over the QM6. The price for the QM7 75" was the same both places, on sale roughly 30% off list MSRP which may be more or less the normal price from this point out since the newer models have been out a few months now. Amazon's shipping was faster as the B&M did not have the 75 inch in stock, so that took the cake for buying it from Amazon.One of the reasons we chose this TV besides the picture was the minimalist bezel, it is silver on the outside but it is barely noticeable when you're looking at the TV. We had previously considered an Amazon Omni-QLED 75" TV, but upon seeing it at the aforementioned B&M retailer on a prior visit, it had a large silver bezel that is super noticable as compared to the TCLs. That was not wife acceptable, and as we all know, happy wife equals happy wife.I chose the delivery and unpack in the room of my choice and the service was great, really nice folks, they unpacked it, put the feet on, and stood it up on my TV stand. Suprisingly the somewhat stocky woman of the unpack duo hoisted the TV on her shoulder and carried it by herself from the truck outside into the house and to our living room. She didn't struggle at all to do it either and the TV never looked like it was going to fall off her shoulders.As for the TV itself I'm pretty happy with it so far. It's our first time with the Google TV interface and it's very responsive. I was a little apprehensive about bringing yet a third smart TV platform into the house, but, the Google interface is really easy to use. The menu setup is somewhat similar to the FireSticks where recently used apps are in a horizontal row near the top, so I don't think it will take the others in the household long to adapt. We are also heavy Google users anyway and have multiple Google smart speakers around the house, so I really think this is a better fit for us long term than Roku or FireStick. The TCL remote also has Google Assistant buttons on it and I think we will use those.Some folks said the setup took a long time but I really didn't think so. I was initially unable to sign in from my phone through the Google Home app so I just skipped that step, it allows you to set up from your phone or set up using your remote. The TV asked for a software update so I did that and then the reboot took about 5-10 minutes and then it didn't ask for any further updates. It also asked me what apps that I used so I chose all those and it installed them automatically. After the update it asked me to sign in directly to Google so I did that instead of trying to pair it with my phone and it worked this time.The picture quality is excellent, although like any TV it's somewhat source dependent on how good the picture is. If you give it content that lets it shine, it will wow you. For example, the LG OLED store demo loop is on YouTube at 4Kp60 with HDR 10 and it looks awesome on this TV. I am super impressed with the lack of motion lag as well, watching some sporting events.This TV upscales SD content better than other TCL TV's I've had in the past, although if you're some kind of upscaling purist you might think it's not quite enough. It's perfectly fine for my needs. I purposefully avoid trying to watching SD content in the first place, if I can avoid it. When I buy a TV, the overall performance with the very best content is my first consideration, ie, 4K HDR content. Everything else is secondary or tertiary.I have not calibrated it yet and I'm hoping that there are more review sites out there soon that have this TV along with their recommended calibration settings. Out of the box it's pretty good, the colors are vivid, but not oversaturated like on many Samsungs. (if you want something that looks like a Samsung, buy a Samsung, I think it makes things look cartoonish, but anyway) It has some kind of AI picture mode chooser and I can see that it's already choosing different than I would choose, like for example it chose something that looked like a movie mode when I was watching one of those David Attenborough documentaries on Netflix. I would not have chosen a movie mode for a wildlife documentary, but anyway. I think I will probably disable this setting and calibrate it more to my liking as I get more time with it.Since reviewers have dinged it on it's brightness compared to the older TCL 6-series, I can say that I have it in a room that's pretty bright with 6 windows and it doesn't have a problem overcoming reflections and so forth. I have it right between two 3x5 windows and it's plenty bright enough, I'm not seeing any reflections. To step up with something with a lot more brightness like a Samsung Neo-QLED would cost a LOT more. Some sites say the Hisense U8H is the best choice in this price range for brightness based on what's currently out there and easily obtainable, but that set in a 75" was 25% more money than this one and I was not able to see it anywhere locally with decent content on it. The B&M store I visited had some Hisense models on display but they were only showing low resolution store ads on them.The WiFi performance seems excellent with this set, looking at the "Stats for Nerds" feature on YouTube I was seeing up to 115Mpbs throughput on 4Kp60 videos. I do have a business class WiFi network using Ubiquiti ceiling mounted access points but even so it seems really fast to load streaming videos and so forth compared to my other TVs and sticks.I tried out the "TCL Channel" which is a list of IPTV channels similar to the Roku Channel and IPTV functionality that other platforms have as well, my LG upstairs has an IPTV app as well but I don't remember what they call it. I like the TCL Channel app better than the Roku Channel and the equivalent LG app as they have things sorted by category which makes it easier to find the content you are looking for. The TCL channel app is also a little more intuitative than the others, I was able to pick it how it worked in about 15 seconds and find some interesting channels more quickly than on the others. The category list on the far left really helps with this.Anyway, pretty happy with this TV, it's a solid value at the price point. I think most people would be happy with it. If money is no object and you want a TV that is bright as the light from a thousand suns, buy a Samsung Q90C. If money is no object and you watch movies in pitch black rooms all day long, get an LG G3 OLED. Otherwise, for the rest of us, this is a great TV with a great picture at a good price. Will update with my experiences, I've only just got this TV recently.
Love this TV! It's not perfect, but it's definitely a great Buy for the features that you get. I did so much research on this TV. I have never owned a Google TV. Not sure I'm thrilled with that part of it...At work, everything is Google and they still have a ways to go with the development of their absent products. I don't know anyone who likes Google Mail as much as a product like office Outlook. So, having this TV be Google Centric, I just did not know what to expect.CON: You would think that a Google TV would cast really easily from a laptop, a tablet or a smartphone for that matter... And I have yet to get it to be able to cast. I was on the phone for a very long time with TCL support and we could not figure it out. I finally had to buy a wireless HDMI connector to be able to cast to this TV. It actually works really well and I will mention it right now: Elalight Wireless HDMI Transmitter and Receiver, HDMI Wireless Extender Kit. This extender kit is literally Plug and Play. When you look at it you won't believe that it will even work and it works excellent! It occasionally has some interference hiccups, but overall it worked except for casting from a device to this Google TV.PROS: As far as the quality of picture and brightness and sound, it's a great TV for the money! I really feel like I got an incredibly great deal for a TV this size and this bright and clear.As far as setting it up and getting it ready to use, super easy and basic. I think they did a great job on their home page except for the fact that I have used other TVs that have been easier to show the exact Channel and apps that you want in the order that you want. For me at least, I've had a hard time adding my favorite apps to homepage. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, but I am always having to go to the very top under apps to find what I want. They do have a section called your apps on the home screen and I was able to manage a few of my favorite apps on that part of the screen, it's just not very intuitive. Having said that, I don't use that many brands of TVs in my life, so this is probably not a big deal to most people.I think the hardest part about this industry is all of the various acronyms they use for all the different Technologies (LCD, LED, OLED, ULED, QLED, HD, FULL HD, 4K, 8K, UHD, SUHD, and more coming). I chose this one because it used a standard quality acronym (QLED) whereas some other brands have just made up their own quality acronyms. After so much research and spinning my wheels, I wanted to take advantage of the Black Friday deals and I feel like I got a REALLY good value for my money!Again, every TV has to fit your needs and this one is totally sufficient for me because at the end of the day I just want it to be bright, sharp, fast to navigate, and sound good! This TV delivers!!!
